Rest and respite before a long flight

    rating10 Oct 2026

Peaceful, clean, nice restaurant and friendly, accommodating staff. And the hot shower with lots of water pressure!! A great place to chill before (or after) long air flights. This morning I feel ready for the 20 hours of travel home.

Great staff and great location for airport

    rating19 Sept 2026

We had a good experience at hotel Avalon. We stayed for two nights. Our flight arrived late but they were super efficient in coming to pick us up with their airport transfer even at 2am and were super responsive. The option to do the check in from home saved us a lot of time as well. The room itself was fine, a bit dated. Beds could have been comfier. Bathroom worked well but the shower was also dated. The room offered minibar, free waters, coffee/tea facilities and a safe. Breakfast was included which was nice but I think more fruits and healthier options could have been added (pancakes were stone hard!). The staff was extremely helpful even helping one of our party who wasn’t feeling well with some medicine. Super location for airport. Please also note that for a better price you will be allocated a roomIn the lower ground floor - we didn’t mind but good to be aware of when booking.

    AVALON DELIVERS WHAT IT PROMISES.

    rating09 Sept 2026

The Avalon is spotlessly clean throughout the hotel interior, the swimming pool and garden areas. Although it is fairly close to the airport, we did not hear any aircraft noise at any time throughout our stay. The free shuttle pick up and drop off is an excellent service that we were grateful for. We opted for a standard room on the ground floor, a choice which met all our requirements. All members of staff we came into contact with were nice, polite and very helpful. The only issue that might matter to some, is the distance between the hotel and the city of Thessaloniki. Taking a local bus involves a long walk to and from the bus stop. Taxis are expensive, so one would need to take this fact into consideration when planning a budget. AI quotes on the Internet are not accurate.
