    Good and Bad Service

    rating06 May 2026

It has what you need as a travel but it lacks an important factor that most the Greece hotels did and that’s the lack of care to food allergies. But this one doesn’t feel the need to even label the food they cook in the breakfast or dinner buffets which is alarming to me. They also seem to lack the urgency to replenish what has finished at the buffet and took their time to do so. They excelled in other areas like room maintenance, room amenities, front desk service, location, spa, gift shop, bar, and overall visual appeal of the hotel. The rooms have large reusable body gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand wash. Along with coffee and teas, bath robes, slippers, laundry service, nice grade towels, pillows, bed linens and size rooms. With other standard s rooms offer in amenities. Two elevator courts a great amount of outdoor seating in there front courtyard shaded and sun drenched. But they have an ant problem in the outdoor area as well. So I do hope the shortfalls mentioned get addressed. Maria Chatziparaschi, Guest Services / Front Office at Grand Hotel Palace, responded to this review Dear tahtnytraveler,Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback regarding your stay.We are pleased to hear that you appreciated many aspects of the hotel, and the overall atmosphere of the property.Regarding your concerns about food allergies, we would like to clarify that our hotel follows a specific procedure in accordance with Greek legislation concerning food safety. Dissapointing experience

    rating13 Oct 2025

The hotel looks nice in the pictures, but the standard rooms are very small. It is quite far from the center of Thessaloniki, so the only options are by car or taxi. The breakfast staff is very slow and unfriendly. What shocked us most was the waitress’s response when I asked for a third coffee at breakfast — she said that only two coffees per person are allowed!? I’ve never seen anything like that in any hotel in the world, and I’ve stayed in many hotels across the globe. Usually, there’s a coffee machine available and guests make their own coffee, with no one counting how many cups they’ve had. The same goes for ordering coffee — even in much cheaper hotels, there’s never any restriction. What’s next — limiting the number of slices of bread a guest can eat at breakfast? Unbelievable! Maria Chatziparaschi, Guest Services / Front Office at Grand Hotel Palace, responded to this review Dear valued guest,We are truly sorry to hear that your overall experience at our hotel was disappointing. It seems that your short stay may have prevented you from sharing your concerns with us in person during your visit.Regarding the hotel’s distance from the city center, this information is clearly noted on all booking platforms, indicating that we are located 4 km from the city center. We also responded on another booking platform where you left a review, expressing our surprise at your comments about our staff. Our team is usually one of the most valued aspects of our guests’ experience. As for the coffee issue, we completely understand your disappointment with our policy. Please know that such corporate decisions are often based on operational reasons, even though they may sometimes seem unpopular. In any case, rest assured that we would never limit how many slices of bread a guest can enjoy. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.Kind regards,Maria ChatziparaschiGuest Relations Manager

    Exelent

I stayed at the Grand Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki - an amazing hotel, highly recommended, not the first time I've stayed there. But this time I decided to get a massage, and I highly recommend going to Crystal, who beyond being a warm, pleasant, professional, and lovely person, has loving, embracing, and nurturing hands. I simply left with a feeling of light in my body. There's no doubt that when I come here again, I'll go straight to her. Highly recommended to go to Crystal. Maria Chatziparaschi, Guest Services / Front Office at Grand Hotel Palace, responded to this review Dear valued guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for your continued trust in the Grand Palace Hotel. We’re delighted to hear that you once again enjoyed your stay and that your experience at our spa was so special. Your kind words about Crystal truly mean a lot — we will be sure to share your compliments with her, as she will be thrilled to know she made such a positive impression. We greatly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you again for another remorable stay,Maria ChatziparaschiGuest Relations Manager

A great hotel which lioves up to its name

    rating05 Sept 2025

This hotel is conveniently located for communication (rail, bus and motorway interchange for the airport) in a light industrial area - but very safe - area of town. Given a slightly inauspious area, the hotel is a revelation, not least its scale. It has recenrtly been renovated, it is spotlessly clean, & the public areas and rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The architects and interior designers did a good job. The staff are all courteous and professional. The food and wine list are good and invite in-hotel dining (we were tired) despite the town being renowned for the superb quality and range of its restaurants, tavernas and so on. One is greeted by some interesting vintage cars in the driveway, and subsequent impressions give the feeling of an enterprise which is a labour of love of the owners. Highly recommended. Maria Chatziparaschi, Guest Services / Front Office at Grand Hotel Palace, responded to this review Dear alextY9710TP,Thank you for your wonderful feedback.
