  We spent 4 days in this property and were quite pleased. We read all the reviews ahead of time, but decided to try it anyways. We were please to have received an updated room. The room was lovely, clean and very modern. It was nice to have a balcony, but without any chairs, it was not used. The ninth floor bar/restaurant offered beautiful views. We only had drinks there, so can’t comment on the food. We tried the breakfast buffet one day and were not thrilled. It wasn’t included in our booking so we went elsewhere other days. The location was very convenient. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the attractions are all very walkable.   Kind stuff, very clean, good location, bad breakfast+ coffee

  1. Advantages: very kind stuff, good atmosphere, good location (15-20 minutes walking from city center or from "one" outlet mall. The hotel is located 2 minutes walking from a medium and cheap supermarket. There is a huge branch of supermarket in "one" mall, located 5 minutes with taxi (taxi cost only 4 euro). Out of the hotel there are few fast-food places. Nice and quiet rooms, with refrigerator and kettle. There is a small gym room, and a tiny pool. 2. Disadvantages: ?? The same breakfast every morning: its very boring if you stay for a week, especially if you dont eat meat in the morning. Too simple breakfast, no fish like tuna/salmon, no salats, just tomatos , olives and cucamber.?? the worst Capuchino I've ever tasted in dining-room in europe: most of the "milk" is water, it looks like milk-powder. If you want a better coffee, you have to buy it in the lobby bar. It was very dissapointing, since a great free coffee - is the center of a great breakfast. ?? Refrigerator in rooms is very weak.   Very pleasant short city break with my family at the Holiday Inn Thessaloniki. Great service from start to finish. Clean rooms and nice pool facilities by the roof.   We booked a suite at this Holiday Inn in Thessaloniki on a Best Flexible Rate months in advance, but were surprised to be charged in full (€1,200) shortly after booking. Although this was refunded following our complaint, it did raise concerns from the outset about what is forthcoming.On arrival, the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, with the exterior covered in scaffolding and green netting. It was located in a very busy, noisy area that lacked investment.While the foyer and reception were modern and impressive, the welcome felt impersonal and lacked the recognition expected as IHG Platinum Elite members.The suite itself was large but extremely dated, with worn fixtures, a non-working fridge, and very little natural light due to a view of a concrete wall. We were told no better rooms were available due to ongoing refurbishment.Bonuses, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean enough.Breakfast was equally disappointing, with poor-quality hot food, limited fresh options, and substandard drinks. Although one supervisor made an effort to provide fresh items, this did not reflect the overall offering.Most disappointing of all was that the hotel made no real attempt to improve our stay—no alternative room, no goodwill gestures, and no recognition of the issues we raised. We therefore chose to check out five days early and stay elsewhere.If I were to make a fleeting about the ambience, I would say it was soulless place and reminded me of a nursing home.We ended up at the Hilton on the sea-front.   Although the reservation sent by a travel agency, the hotel on our arrival warned us that the seats for motorcycles were not available. This was a big problem for us. We had to park the motorcycles at a distance of 1 kilometre. The receptionist was very uncourteous and we had to ask for an alternative solution ourselves. I don't recommend it. The staff is rude.
