This hotel lies in the city centre of Thessaloniki, around 200 m from the main railway station. The centre of this harbour town is located 500 m from the hotel, and well-known sights, such as the White Tower or the museum of Byzantine art and culture are within a distance of 2 km and can easily be reached by public transport. Transfer time to Macedonia airport is about 40 minutes (about 16 km away).

Facility

8 junior suites, 12 suites, 21 single rooms and 142 double rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Although the reservation sent by a travel agency, the hotel on our arrival warned us that the seats for motorcycles were not available. This was a big problem for us. We had to park the motorcycles at a distance of 1 kilometre. The receptionist was very uncourteous and we had to ask for an alternative solution ourselves. I don't recommend it. The staff is rude.     The people were friendly however we had to wait for our room on the first day and then had to switch rooms during our stay due to renovations. The breakfast buffet was good in the morning (though only did one of the three mornings there). The beds are quite hard. Since we experienced two different rooms we had good water pressure in one and not the other. The rooms were quite warm for January-hard to sleep. They do have all the “American” toiletry items in your room though which is nice-wash cloths, hair products etc…Hotel though is in a good location and not too far from all the sites of the city—-within a mile.

    We stayed for a long weekend in September. This was our second stay after many years. The hotel was supposed to be renovated in the meantime. They renovated the lobby and the restaurant upstairs, which are now lovely and shiny. However, the rooms stayed old and shabby to say the least. We have upgraded ourselves into the so-called suite (as advertised on the IHG website), which was not a suite but a somewhat bigger king room with a couch space. The floor and the room actually smelled old with a stench of tobacco. Parking is tiny and hard to get to, and costs an extra charge. For the price tag, it's a rip-off. Sorry, never again.     The room is small, and the quilt is very thin. The food is okay. The location is very convenient for traveling in the city and is suitable for a business trip, in my opinion. However, it's close to the street, so it may be a bit noisy. Regarding the service, the servers are generally patient, but they should ensure that the water in the bathroom is not leaking. Whatever, the price is not expensive, so it may be acceptable for a low-budget trip.
