    A week stay!

    rating18 May 2026

I have always wanted to go to Zakynthos as a traveller and so upon making this trip happen I looked over the entire of Zante and worked out where best to stay to have really good access to everything. Zante town was definitely the place to go, and it’s there I found Diana hotel! Upon arrival, I noticed just how convenient the location of this hotel is. There is everything within minutes of walking. Such an , endless shops, places for ice cream, lovely restaurants, super markets and of course the Zante port. Upon arrival to the hotel I was greeted by a lovely lady who I later found out was called Sofia. She made my entire trip wonderful and she was absolutely faultless, so if you stay here and get to meet her you’re very lucky. As for the room, I was a little taken aback by how plain the rooms are. If you want a very local experience then Diana hotel rooms definitely offer that, it can throw you off a bit when you first enter but overall it was a fine room, bed was super comfy too! The bathroom for me was the biggest let down. I had a comfort room, a premium I think they called and the size of my bathroom was a bit of a joke. I’m 20 years old, average height and weight and I was actually squeezing myself in and out of the shower and door because it was so narrow in there, I was so grateful there was a vanity in the room because there was no chance of doing makeup or anything in there besides using the toilet and showering. However! I can’t fault the staff at all, room was always cleaned top to bottom and my clothes and towels were left organised. One other word of advice, don’t come here expecting a huge balcony where you can sit and drink outside, the balcony’s are very small and narrow but for me that wasn’t a issue at all, as it wasn’t something that I cared about. Breakfast was good, definitely what you pay for. There was a nice array of fruit, toast, Greek foods ect. There was a coffee machine, juice options and plenty of sweet choices. For me it was really good value for money! The level 4 pool bar and seating area was just as described on the picture, both day and night are absolutely lovely to sit outside, there a named spirits which I have to say did surprise me! Drinks are affordable and delicious and service is impeccable! The overall vibe of this place is homey, clean and comfortable. It definitely gives that holiday feeling whilst also giving you a real taste of local life. The noise level for me was fine, I only heard a few noises outside but nothing that kept me up, it was mainly street cats! Overall would I stay here again… yes! Would I stay for a long as I did probably not but that’s because you don’t really need to stay in Zante for a week to see it all, it’s incredibly manageable in 5 days. My personal opinion is don’t stay here if your expecting a 5 star experience with all inclusive vibes, it’s definitely not a resort! But for me and my reason for travel it was good value for money and I did enjoy my stay for the most part. Once again thank you to the staff! You can definitely tell this place is family run, it truly gives this place a really intimate vibe.

    Forever in my heart x

Where do I start. From the moment I walked in to the Diana hotel, I was welcomed with open arms by the wonderful staff. The rooms are above and beyond the levels you would expect from a 3 star hotel, in my honest opinion it is definitely at the level of a 4 star. The beds are incredibly comfortable as well as the pillows, which cradle your head like a cloud at nighttime. The rooms are immaculately cleaned every single day, along with fresh towels every day which is rare in Greece for a 3 star hotel. In the morning, a buffet of various foods are included with the room as well as a coffee and drinks machine. This is standard practice in Greece...However, what makes the Diana special is the staff... They are some of the most friendly people I have ever had the pleasure to meet in my life and as a Cypriot, where we are famous for our hospitality, it is on another level at the Diana hotel. It is my first time in Zakynthos town and I will not hesitate to stay here again. Expect a 3 star experience, arrive at the Diana and prepare to have your expectations massively exceeded. The pool bar hosted by the charismatic gentleman known as Takis is an experience in itself. It overlooks the harbour and the mountains and is a truly stunning place to enjoy a drink and a snack with a view. To conclude, this is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Zakynthos town that is truly not to be missed. 5 stars from me without a shadow of a doubt.... wonderful ❤️

    Ideal location.

    rating17 Oct 2025

Ideally located for a first timers trip to Zakynthos. From here you can easily walk to the main sights in town, the Venetian castle on the hill with super views or walk to the bus station to catch a bus to explore. Fantastic staff, all very helpful. We found the balcony of our room very small. Could only fit one chair & small table in. But as it was just a base for our holiday, that was fine. There is an excellent roof top bar & small pool which is super. Fantastic view of port & beyond. Robes & slippers provided. Breakfast started well at the beginning of the week, but we found the quality sadly went down in the last few days. Butter was going off & yoghurt was iffy. However, there was always alternatives which was fine. Would stay here again but not with the breakfast option.

Very small room, a single sized room with a double bed in it. Small balcony with one chair as two wouldn’t fit, as we stayed as 2 people couldn’t use this. On day 3 sheets were changed to plastic coverings so had to remove. Not 4 star.

The staff are so hard working, helpful and friendly. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day. Big shout out to the day time barman who makes the best Mojitos in the whole of Zante. We stayed with our grown up children and had no complaints what so ever. Breakfasts are lovely and a good opportunity to try some local food. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.
