  Absolutely amazing hotel

  This hotel is absolutely amazing! A huge shout out to Demetria on Reception who is the most beautiful person! My daughter loved her as did we and she was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and spacious (we were in a studio) and we loved watching the planes go over. You get used to the noise! Absolutely amazing to see! The staff at the restaurant attached to the hotel, Delight, were also amazing! Nothing was any trouble and fantastic Greek night on a Tuesday! There was also other entertainment available but we didn’t watch it as we ate out most nights. The food in Delight was amazing and George on the bar was fantastic as were the other staff! Pool area very clean and always subbed available. Would definitely recommend this place and hoping we get to visit again 💕☀️🇬🇷

  Just come back from this lovely hotel rooms spotless bed comfortable shower hot water every night the staff work very hard and the food in the restaurant was excellent had a relaxing 5 days stay and would definitely stay again

  Warm welcome. Well maintained rooms very clean. Lovely pool area although abit small. The plane's fly over the hotel but aren't an issue it's great identifying the plane's. The bathroom was abit compact and smelly I guess due to the fact loo roll had to be placed in a bin a more hygienic style of bin that doesn't release odour should be in situ. A little more light over the hob would help as it was a bit dark in that area I had to open the front door for more light. A full length mirror wouldn't go a miss on the wardrobe. The restaurant next door had great staff. Good food and entertainment. . easy to walk along the beach to Laganos or use the bus at the end of the road. Plenty of tourists shops available selling basics for cooking. Lots of restaurants close by.A lovely place glad we tried it.

  Damp cold rooms

  I really wanted to enjoy my stay at the Macedonia Hotel, but the condition of our room made it impossible. From the first night, everything felt damp — the bed, the air, even our clothes. Imagine sleeping 1o nights in a damp bed, unsurprisingly I began to wake up feeling cold and unwell. I couldn’t understand why until the last day, when I found a patch of damp and mould right behind the head of the bed.It was honestly quite upsetting to realise I’d been sleeping next to that for 10 days. Other guests were also talking about damp issues, so it clearly wasn’t just our room.I contacted the hotel after returning home, but they offered no explanation or solution. Based on my experience, the hotel needs to address these damp and mould problems urgently. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here. Macedonia Hotel, General Manager at Hotel Macedonia, responded to this review I don't usually respond to comments, but for you I will make an exception. For ten days you have not mentioned your problem to either the reception or your agent (JET2), even though there is a rep 4 times a week at the hotel, and no other customer has reported any similar problem. When you went home you sent me an email to find a "solution" between us before you complained to your agent (JET2). I think everyone understands the "solution" you wanted after you had left. My response was that I informed your agent (jet2), I imagine you did not like my response and you replied that you would file a complaint with the health and safety department of your agent (jet2).However, as I told you, they have already been informed by me and they did not find the problem you mention.

  Early Season getaway to the sun.

  We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of May so just at the start of the main season. The Hotel ranges from 2-3 star depending on tour operator. Although not classified as a high star rating hotel, do not be put off, the hotel was spotlessly clean, we had room 305 which had a bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin, a small kitchen area with full size fridge, 2 ring induction hob, sink, toaster and kettle, plates cutlery glasses etc for 3 people. There was a single bed in this area too with a separate double bed with wardrobe and balcony with a pool view. The pool area was clean and enough sun-beds for everyone, we never saw them all full. Next to the pool is a bar and restaurant. This makes the hotel a true hidden gem. Freshly prepared food that is reasonably priced and excellent value a huge choice and the staff were so very friendly. Alex, Chris, Giorgos, Tony and the ladies in the kitchen were first class hosts, nothing too much trouble and ice cold Mythos on draught served in glasses straight from the freezer! The staff here work extremely long hours but were always friendly and so helpful. The location of the Hotel is literally on the end of the runway which made for some fantastic plane spotting during the day. This may be a negative to some people but we enjoyed it. The beach is a 8-10 minute walk and the nearest shop is again only 5 minute walk. This really is a great hotel cheap and cheerful but very clean and a true hidden gem. We would return without hesitation.
