  Lesante - in a different class

  Foremost, all comments relating to the Lesante Classic in the past no longer apply. This is now a very different hotel since re-opening in May 2026. Over the winter the hotel has had serious amounts of money spent on renewal and decoration. The management and staff are doing their best to make visitors feel like they are in a five-star hotel.Walking into reception, my wife and I couldn’t fail to be impressed by the décor and ambience. We were provided with a welcome drink and an explanation of the facilities. We were then shown to our room. The room was a bit of a disappointment as it was not overlooking the pool, as we had hoped, but was overlooking what looked like a construction site. Other than this there was nothing wrong with the room. However, after a quick word with the management, our room was duly changed to one overlooking the pool. Our bags were brought to our room by Pasos. A very pleasant and helpful young man who spoke perfect English (as you might expect with an English mother). We were thankful for the managements help.In previous TripAdvisor reports it states that the staff were not exactly customer focused, rude and miserable. However, it’s been a long time since we’ve come across staff as pleasant as those working at the Lesante. We would particularly like to thank the following staff who all played their part in making our stay a very enjoyable one:• Nikos• Angelo• Achilleas• Stardust (you know who you are) • Dimitri (old blue eyes)• Dina• Elenhi• VincentIf I have missed anyone, I sincerely apologise as there were so many names that I couldn’t remember. So….as a suggestion, it would be good if the customer facing staff (including waiting staff) were provided with name badges. Then those that deserve praise will be more likely to get it. You guys all had great senses of humour.The indoor pool, gym and spa area was as excellent as the rest of the hotel. The pool area was beautiful and the sunbeds could quite easily be slept on, if so inclined. Comfort was exceptional.Ok, some suggestions to the hotel. Most outside bars would usually have visitors stood or sat, at the bar drinking and chatting. This was not the case at the Lesante. We did not experience this at any time. Whilst the bar staff provided a great service, we found the price of drinks to be prohibitive. The cheapest bottle of wine in the restaurant was €27 although there were other Greek wines at €80 and above. My wife asked for a glass of white wine which was billed at €10. Photo of the ”glass of wine” is included in the photos section. The price of a large beer is €7. It would be an ice breaker to have a “Happy Hour” at the bar where prices are reduced. People were walking into Tsilivi to obtain cheaper drinks and evening meals. Whilst it is understood the overheads at the hotel must be heavy, but as stated, it makes people go from the hotel to seek cheaper options.Numerous mistakes were made in the restaurant in relation to meal orders. It appeared to be ordered from memory by the waiting staff. This is bound to create issues due to the number of languages having to be understood and diverse orders from the set menu. Not everyone wants the 3 or 4 starters on offer (which you could have). Which confused the waiting staff when multiples or few of each were ordered.We noticed that most of the restaurant food had an underlying taste, which we presumed was the oil infusion that was applied to most meals. As there was no a-la-carte menu offered, the set menu was all that was available. Stuff I thought was great: There was no deposit charged for pool towels. When finished with, you just leave them on the very luxurious sunbed(s) and they are taken away and laundered. This has the added advantage of stopping folk placing a towel on a bed to reserve it, and disappearing for a few hours. The towels won’t be there when they come back. This is refreshing to see.The hotel grows its own vegetables, and waste goes to chickens.Please don’t let our odd negative opinions sway you on your choice of holiday. This is truly a lovely place and we would go again. The managements ear are open to any suggestions to enhance guest experiences.Thanks again Lesante. We hope to see you again.

  Just got back from a weeks holiday here, from arrival at reception (which was immaculate), the staff greeting was warm and friendly.We were shown to our room and our suitcase's were brought to the room.The room was immaculate very modern and clean I was impressed.Plenty of sun beds around the pools with hardly anyone putting down towels to reserve them.The towels around the pools were free and changed on a daily basis which was excellent.The breakfasts were also very good with everything you could want lots of choice and plenty of fresh fruit.The beach was a little over 5 minutes walk which was nice with plenty of beach bars and comfortable sun beds which were €20 a day for 2 beds and a beach umbrella, (cheaper one's were available).The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from the main center which was ideal.I've been to lots of 4-5 star hotels this has been the cleanest so far with bathroom towels getting changed on a daily basis and beds getting made every day which was excellent.To sum up this hotel I would say it was very relaxing, the staff are all excellent so friendly and helpful.There is only one criticism I would make is that the drinks, ice creams and the spa treatments are a bit on the pricey side. $7 for a beer, $5 for a ice cream.But resolve these issues and you would sell more, people don't like getting overcharged even on holiday.Would I recommend this hotel yes definitely we had a great stay and may be back in the not so distant future.

  Great hospitality at a quiet place

  Nice hotel overall, starting with above average hospitality ! All staff were friendly, very attentive and professional. The breakfast buffet and à la carte was also particularly nice. Room was clean but basic. The outside pools are fun too. Downside would be the location. The beach is very close, that's an asset, but if you want to dine in town in the evening, you've got to get a cab.

  Week in Lesante Classic Tsivili

  This was the first 5 star hotel on Zante and has just being updated to a very high standard. It had just opened back up 4 days before we arrived to a great welcome in the reception. The pool area is fantastic and the service levels from all staff are exceptional. Every where is spotlessly clean and the room servicing is perfect. The breakfast is varied and the choices from menu are good. The lunch menu and night time menus are good value and quality. Compliments to the chefs team. Karoline sorted all our trips car hire and a special wine tasting session at the sister hotel Lesante Cape which is also an exceptional hotelDefinitely still the best hotel in Tsivili
