  Having read the reviews i was really worried about this holiday- however i cannot complain, there are obviously very different levels of accomodation. Our room was a family room- updated. We were self catering and room was based at the back of the pool. The room itself was clean and well presented, cleaner was in every day to make up the beds and tidy round. Large ground floor balcony,plenty of chairs outside for us. The pool itself was huge and clean. loved the waiter service. i found all the staff we had interactions with to be polite and friendly. Overall a fantastic holiday, we did use the hotel as a base and were out and about most days exploring the town and island.

  Don’t waste your money!

  Do not stay here!! Honestly wish I looked at the reviews before we booked (lesson learnt)! The negative reviews are very accurate. The hotel is unhygienic, dangerous and unpleasant. The photos they advertise online are not the rooms they have available nor are they actually located where the pool area or hotel itself, it’s a 3/4 minute walk down the road. We complained about the first room for numerous reasons, the main one being they didn’t have somewhere to put the shower head so we would have to hold it for one another. When we complained the receptionist said ‘but there’s a bath you can use’. We were shown a further 2 rooms, both of which had the same issues, smelt of sewage, dirty beds and sofas, the shower flooded the bathroom, the toilet flush was broken and the rooms were dirty. There was a leak in one of the rooms, graffiti on the walls, bear in mind they told us they would give us upgraded room that had recently been refurbished. If these rooms had been refurbished then I have no words!Honestly I wouldn’t waste your money here. It ruined the first day to our holiday to the point we were ended up booking a different hotel. Another guest said apparently its reputation is ‘Letsnot Hotel’ and I can absolutely see why! Do not stay here!!!

  ?????????? A HUGE THANK YOU TO LETSOS HOTEL – A HOTEL THAT FEELS LIKE HOME! ??I cannot recommend Letsos Hotel highly enough for a fantastic holiday with family and friends! We first chose this hotel last year as we were getting married locally and wanted somewhere special for our family and friends to stay, as well as a beautiful place for us to get ready for our wedding day. Little did we know just how much this hotel would come to mean to us!We have now stayed here four times, and every visit has been wonderful. The hospitality, friendliness and care shown by the entire team have been outstanding, and I genuinely cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us throughout our stays.We stayed in the deluxe suite with a jacuzzi, which was absolutely beautiful. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, luxurious and had fantastic air conditioning — everything you could wish for! Most of our wedding guests stayed in the deluxe swim-up rooms and plunge pool rooms, and they were pleasantly surprised by the quality and facilities too.The main pool is still lovely, although it is beginning to look a little tired in places. However, this certainly doesn’t take away from the wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and overall experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and efficient, always going above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and looked after.The bar food was amazing, with generous portions and very reasonable prices, and the entertainment added to the fun, relaxed atmosphere. The location is also perfect! Just a couple of minutes from a beautiful beach, ideally situated between two towns, and surrounded by some amazing Greek tavernas. There is also a fantastic large supermarket nearby where you can find practically everything you need for your stay.But for us, what truly makes Letsos special is the people. ??I want to say a very special and heartfelt thank you to every member of the Letsos team for helping to make our wedding so incredible. You welcomed our family and friends, catered for our needs and made me feel genuinely special during one of the most important and precious moments of my life. The kindness, care and hospitality we received will always hold a special place in our hearts.Our wedding memories will stay with us forever, and Letsos will always be part of that beautiful chapter of our lives.We have only one real criticism of the hotel… we love it so much that we now struggle to choose anywhere else! ???? When you find somewhere that makes you feel so welcome, comfortable and happy, why would you want to go anywhere different?To all the wonderful staff at Letsos Hotel, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for us and our family.   Unfortunately, after staying here for two weeks, we personally wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again. There were some positives, but overall there were too many issues for us to consider returning.The good:The hotel is in a really good location, with plenty of shops and local restaurants nearby. The hotel staff themselves were lovely, friendly and very accommodating throughout our stay. The pool area is also nice, although the pool was absolutely freezing!When we first arrived, we were told they didn’t have two separate rooms available, so we had to share a family room with our friends for the first night. This wasn’t a major issue for us as the family room was actually lovely, although it was slightly inconvenient.If you’re looking to hire a quad bike while staying in Alykanas, I’d definitely recommend Jerry at Alykanas Rentals next to Rua Mat. He was absolutely fantastic and very accommodating.The rooms:Unfortunately, this is where most of our problems were.The rooms are quite dated, and the flooring was slightly dirty (seen as they haven’t been long renovated). When we arrived, there were stains on the floor that appeared to have been left by previous guests, and after two weeks, they were still there.We booked a double room but were given two single beds pushed together, with quite uncomfortable mattresses.The walls are extremely thin. You can hear pretty much EVERYTHING from neighbouring rooms, including people flushing their toilets and even sneezing. There were also people shouting in the corridors in the early hours of the morning when coming back drunk.We actually received a noise complaint at around 11:30pm because my partner was being sick in our bathroom — despite him doing so very quietly. Considering how thin the walls are and how much noise we could hear from other guests, this seemed quite unreasonable.The balconies on the first floor are okay, but ours received virtually no sunlight, so it was cold the majority of the time.The mosquito net on our balcony door was also broken, meaning there was really no point in trying to use it.Bathroom/plumbing:The smell of sewage/rotten eggs was one of the biggest issues for us. The rooms could smell strongly of sewage, and if we showered in the evening, the shower often wasn’t particularly hot and there was a horrible rotten-egg smell.The sink constantly blocked, leaving dirty water sitting in it, which was unpleasant.Overall, we never really felt completely clean after having a shower, which isn’t what you expect when you’re on holiday.Cleaning:The cleaners came into the rooms every day, which was nice. They would provide fresh towels, take the rubbish and make the beds.However, that was basically the extent of the cleaning. I don’t believe our bedding was changed more than once during our entire two-week stay, and the floors weren’t brushed, hoovered or mopped properly.The cleaners also started quite early and were extremely loud, banging around and moving what sounded like every piece of furniture in the rooms. It was particularly frustrating given that the rooms themselves weren’t being thoroughly cleaned.Breakfast:Unfortunately, breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. We found the food very poor and on one occasion actually found a dead mosquito in the scrambled eggs, which completely put us off eating breakfast there.Air conditioning:You also have to pay extra for air conditioning, which is something I personally have never come across before. We didn’t use it during our stay, so I can’t comment on how well it works.Overall:The staff are lovely, the location is good and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, but unfortunately the cleanliness, plumbing issues, dated rooms, uncomfortable beds, noise and breakfast really let the hotel down for us.For a two-week holiday, we expected a better standard. Personally, this will be our first and last stay here, and we wouldn’t return.

  Hotel Letsos Alykanas, Zante

  Stayed at Letsos for 1 week September 26. Beautiful hotel. Our room was a swim up room which was birthday decorated by the lovely Yiota for my husbands upcoming birthday. Flowers & balloons & even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. The room was immaculately clean & cleaned every day. The hotel, bar & pool kept spotless at all times. The most comfortable sun loungers we’ve ever used. Waiter service constantly throughout the day at your sun loungers Staff lovely & friendly. 5 mins walk to the beach & literally right next to the lovely restaurants & bars Alykanas has to offer. Our only negative is having to pay extra for air con. Always been included in the price in every hotel we’ve ever stayed. Wouldn’t put us off returning though.
