  Pleasant and close to cruise terminal

  We stayed at the Camlux prior to our cruise. We really liked this hotel. It is not your typical high rise Hong Kong Hotel. I think it is only 6 stories.It was great for a couple of nights. Enjoyed breakfast in the cafe, beds were comfortable, staff were pleasant and helpful. Whilst the MTR was not right next door it was only a short walk.We caught the bus to the cruise terminal. Which was easy even with luggage.The area used to be an industrial area. The bus station is across the road but we did not have any issues with noise.Would stay here again.

  Very disappointing

  Well, where do I start, what a mouldy, smelly horrible place. Arrived on a Friday afternoon, after the most arrogant driver from destination Asia dumped us out the front and said there ya go we stood out the front and took a deep breath. On entry I don’t think one staff member new what I was asking, do you have coffee and milk, whaaat, checked in, got our key and that was it, no help with bags, got in the lift, arrived at 5th floor and the smell, from mould was terrible, got in the room and choofing away in the corner was a humidifier and the air con on. Next morning, breakfast, that was in a box as per photos, see photos and make your own decisions about what to do.   Bed bugs

  The hotel is actually quite nice, the rooms are a good size for HK standards and the location is convenient - UNTIL we found bed bugs on the last day when we woke up with bite marks which is unfortunate.   Great boutique hotel. Love the decor. Value for money

  This is the first time we stayed in this hotel. The hotel room size is gd and bathroom amenities are sufficient. From comb, toothbrush, cotton pads, to sanitary bags etc. There are disposable slippers in the room. There is a shower and if is clean and modern. The bed is very comfortable. It is within walkable distant from kowloon bay mtr. We loved the idea how this once factory building is re purpose as a hotel.We have booked a room with garden. Unfortunately all the plant is dead and there is really not a lot of outdoor space. A bit of a disappointment.However the hotel does provide free wifi, fruits, chips and soft drinks free. There is a neoexpresso machine but no capsules though. However there are separate nescafe coffee granules and teabags.The check in and check out staff are very friendly and efficient. They do try to help. Loved the decorations in the lobby and explanations.A great stay overall.

  Breakfast included but Cafe 15 closed!! — awful experience

  I booked a double room king bed with breakfast included for one night last night. The room was clean, the room quiet, and the bed comfortable, but we were shocked when we got to the restaurant in the morning, we saw that it was closed, and all we got was a bag with a bagel—not even coffee or tea. Why do they offer this option if the restaurant is closed? or at least, why don't they specify that this is the breakfast they offer? I complained to the guy at the counter, but apart from some apologies, I didn't get anything else. Really disappointing. A pity, because the room was quite ok. We could have considered coming here again, but not after this bad experience.One more thing: it's not a good idea to put the smoke detector right on top of the bed having the flashing light on the whole night.
