So many things to do for kids.

    rating12 Jun 2026

The check in was quick, the grounds are amazingly fantastic, the kids club sections are first class, and your stay will be too . The only problem for us is the prices and we’d like to frequent here all the time, but the price range is a bit much for a teacher salary. A Mixed Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel: Warm Hospitality, Service Gaps, and Room for Improvement

    rating28 May 2026

I stayed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel from May 15–17 under the “MyDisney HK Birthday Exclusive: Disney Hotel 2-Night Plus Gift Offer” promotion. Overall, the stay had both positive and disappointing experiences.First, I felt misled by the promotion advertised on the website. I read that guests would receive a free room upgrade from standard rooms and complimentary drinks for each guest, but we never received either of these benefits during our stay—not even the complimentary drinks at any table-service restaurant. This was disappointing because these offers influenced my decision to book the package. On a positive note, we arrived before 11 AM, which was too early for check-in, but the staff welcomed us warmly. The concierge team was excellent, especially the Filipino staff member and the local staff who assisted us. Their hospitality and friendliness made us feel comfortable and helped us throughout our stay.At the front desk, we asked for details regarding our hotel stay and park access. Since we arrived early and needed to change clothes because of the humid weather, the front desk staff offered us an option to pay extra for earlier room access. We decided to upgrade to a deluxe room and waited a few minutes for our luggage to be delivered. We also rented a wheelchair for my mother, and the concierge team assisted us very well with the process. However, when we first entered our room, our luggage had not arrived yet, so we had to wait a bit longer before it was delivered. The room itself was decent, but you can already notice that the hotel rooms are quite old and may need refurbishment. The next day was the most disappointing part of our stay. We left the room early because housekeeping needed time to clean it, but when we returned from Ngong Ping later that day, the room had still not been properly cleaned and the towels were not replenished. I contacted the front desk, and to their credit, they responded quickly, apologized sincerely, and immediately brought fresh towels since we needed to change after being outside in the humid weather. However, even after they attended to the room, I still noticed that housekeeping was not done thoroughly. Honestly, it seemed like there may have only been one housekeeping staff assigned to that area, and I actually felt sorry for her. I believe management should provide more manpower to maintain the cleanliness standards expected from a Disney hotel.Another disappointing experience happened when we visited Crystal Lotus for a light dinner after returning from the park. My mother needed a hot meal before taking her medicine, but we did not feel welcomed there. It honestly felt like we were being judged or underestimated because we were Filipino, as if we could not afford to dine there. I have stayed at other five-star hotels in Macau,Ritz Carlton and at Shangri-La properties before, and I have never experienced that kind of treatment. The hotel’s location is definitely convenient since it is close to the park, and I truly appreciate the friendly concierge and housekeeping staff who still tried their best to make guests feel comfortable despite the challenges. However, in my opinion, the overall service and room quality did not fully match a five-star hotel standard.I would also like to suggest extending the operating hours for both the indoor and outdoor pools so guests can enjoy the facilities longer. Additionally, the hotel should place more mosquito repellent around the property because we went home with several mosquito bites after our stay.Overall, this stay had some memorable moments because of the kind staff, but there were also several disappointing experiences that management should seriously improve. Frozen Suite Magic at Its Peak, Held Back Only by One F&B Oversight

    rating16 Apr 2026

We flew in specifically to make one of my daughter’s biggest dreams come true staying inside Elsa’s world at the Kingdom Club Frozen Suite. As someone who runs hospitality businesses myself, I want to give an honest and balanced review of what is the most expensive room category at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Why it’s worth every dollar for the right family. My daughter is at that golden age (4–where fantasy and reality still blur beautifully, and this suite was designed exactly for that moment. From the Frozen-themed door signage and key card, the Kristoff-sleigh sofa, the giant Olaf plush in the play corner, the winter-landscape artwork, all the way to the themed slippers and amenities pouch every single detail convinced her she was actually sleeping inside Elsa’s castle. The suite itself is genuinely spacious: two double beds, sea/garden view from the 7th floor, separate living area, bathtub plus walk-in shower, and a bedtime that felt like a fairytale. Add the “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique”-style Elsa makeover my daughter did in the morning, and the whole day became one long, happy memory.Kingdom Club Lounge integrationThe Kingdom Club perks (private lounge, all-day delicacies, sunset appetizers with wine, evening sweets) are a huge part of why this suite justifies its price. Staff in the lounge were warm, patient, and genuinely tried to make my daughter feel like a princess at every interaction. The honest critique F&B and dietary transparencyThis is where I have to hold back a star. When the themed Afternoon Tea Set (Elsa cookies, chocolate biscuits, pastries) was delivered to the suite, I asked about the beverages and was told “fresh juice.” What I was not proactively asked and what I would absolutely expect at this price point is whether we had any dietary restrictions or religious considerations.I almost ate one of the cakes before pausing to phone guest services, where I confirmed that several items actually contained pork and lard. In the Kingdom Club lounge upstairs, I estimate roughly 60% of the hot items contained pork or lard, and the only labels I initially thought said “no pork” turned out to be “non-dairy.” I ended up having to ask staff about nearly every single item.To the hotel’s credit, once I raised the issue they apologized sincerely and delivered a complimentary replacement Afternoon Tea set the next day an effort I genuinely appreciate. But at a suite category this high (around HKD 7,800–8,000+ per night), proactive questions about allergies and dietary needs should be standard before serving, not after the guest flags it.For future Muslim or pork-avoiding guests: please ask staff to flag every item before you eat, and consider requesting a dedicated allergen/religious-diet briefing at check-in. The team will accommodate, but currently you have to initiate it.VerdictWould I recommend it? Yes if you have a young Frozen fan, this is as close to stepping into the movie as money can buy, and the Kingdom Club experience is legitimately world-class in service and space. Would I give 5 stars? Not yet. Close that one F&B transparency gap and this becomes unquestionably the best family suite in all of Hong Kong. GSM DLH, Guest Services / Front Office at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, responded to this review Dear Komodo L,Thank you for your valuable time to share a detailed staying experience at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. We are beyond glad to hear of your pleasantly stay at our Kingdom Club and love the hotel facilities and enjoyed our Cast Members' service excellence. Your positive feedback is truly an added value to our team spirit for hearing cheers from our honorable guests for a satisfactory stay with us. Thank you for your opinion about the food served at the Lounge and the the lack of proactiveness of our Cast Members in sharing the food component with guests. We apologize for causing inconvenience to your dining experience and please rest assured that the issue has been taken onboard for an earnest review with the team. We thankful for your comments that certainly will enhance our guest experience. We look forward to welcoming you back in a sooner future to enjoy another Disney journey. It will be a great pleasure in seeing you and your family again.Kind regards,Michael LockSenior Manager, Hotel Operations
