    This hotel was honestly horrific. Avoid at all costs unless you’re 25 years old and backpacking on an extremely tight budget.Its only real advantage is the location near the exhibition centre, but if you can afford to spend a little more, I would strongly recommend staying at the Novotel opposite instead.The beds are unbelievably hard. I have never suffered from back problems before, but after staying here I was in significant discomfort. Judging by the number of reviews mentioning the same issue, this is clearly not an isolated complaint. The hotel acknowledges that upgrades are needed, yet seems unwilling to invest in something as simple as mattress toppers. When I repeatedly requested one, I was told they didn’t have any and was instead offered a small duvet which staff claimed could be used as a topper.Breakfast was consistently cold, bland and tasteless. The rooms are dated and do not resemble the photographs shown on the website. There were also stains in the room, which was disappointing.Most concerning, however, was the lack of professionalism at night. On several occasions, the reception and concierge staff appeared to be asleep at their desks. This did not inspire confidence regarding the safety and security of guests. I also found several members of staff to be rude and unhelpful.By the end of my stay, the bed was so uncomfortable that I ended up using eight pillows and two duvets to create a makeshift bed on the floor until I could move to another hotel for my final night.Without question, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Avoid at all costs.

    I had a wonderful stay at the Harbourview Chinese YMCA in Hong Kong. The location is excellent, with easy access to public transport and great views of the harbour area. It’s very convenient for exploring both Wan Chai and Central, making it a great base for sightseeing and business travel.The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. While the accommodation is simple, it is very good value for money in such a central location. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with directions and requests.I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the sense of safety throughout the property. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, and the overall service exceeded expectations for a YMCA-style accommodation.Overall, I would highly recommend the Harbourview Chinese YMCA in Hong Kong for travellers looking for affordable, clean, and well-located accommodation with great service.     The room is a bit old, and it’s quite a long walk from the BTS station. However, transportation is convenient and easy because you can get anywhere by BTS. The air conditioner works well, and all the facilities in the room function properly. The staff downstairs were very helpful and provided good assistance.
