  Fantastic location for a couples base whilst exploring the city

  The hotel is centrally located just behind the Basilica and more than a ten minute walk to the airport bus drop off/pick up. The (English speaking) staff are incredibly welcoming and give an immediate feeling of a high quality establishment. Two key cards were provided alongside a third to operate the in room electronics. The cards gave access to the courtyard off the street as well as our very spacious room. Step free access is available for the hotel which is all on one floor. We had no view, but I suspect some have great views. Our two complaints with the room were the temperature control seemed unresponsive to any input and one of the bedside lights was unusable due to the flickering light - our attempts to explain this did not translate well to Hungarian!Breakfast was plentiful continental style (Lidl is next door if all else fails). There’s a in room mini bar and reception I’m confident would find anything you were missing. It was no bother for our bags to be left on the last day whilst we further explored the city ahead of the twenty minute ride back to the airport. We would certainly return when back in Budapest.

  The hotel is located a few steps away from St Stephen's Basilica, so it couldn't be more central. This small establishment consists of 16 rooms on the first floor of an old building, so you will access it as if you were a normal resident from a shared entrance. Your key card will also open the main gate, of course. The welcome from the very attentive staff is faultless; nothing is too much trouble, and they will go out of their way to make you feel at home, advising you on things to do in Budapest. Rooms are modern, clean and well-appointed. Ours had a minibar, a safe and coffee-making facilities. As a base for visiting the city, it's absolutely great. Breakfast is continental and fairly average, but there are places a few steps away specialising in brunch and cooked breakfast, so if that's what you like, I would give what's on offer at this hotel a miss and head straight for a nearby brunch place instead. Overall very good.

  Great little hotel in perfect central location!

  We stayed for 4 nights in November and had a great stay. The staff were great and helpful, and we loved our room 115. It was spacious, modern, and clean with great amenities. Windows overlooked a courtyard, so was very quiet, but just a view of cars parked. Nice shower with heated towel rail, tea kettle and coffee maker, plenty of storage for clothes etc. Breakfast was a lovely continental style, cereals, pastries, toast, cold meats and cheese etc, great to start your day. And a nice coffee machine that made various types of coffee, and water for tea. We were so happy we found this hotel, and would happily stay here again as we could walk to anywhere in the city from here.

  Such a lovely hotel. Very clean, very central staff lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely be back to Budapest. 1 min walk to St Stephen Basilica, 2 min to chain bridge loads of cafes around area. The ruins area is about 10/15 walk but all flat very easy walk. Just perfect location. Staff let us hire towels for the baths €3 and supplied slippers so we didn't have to pay extra as we forgot ours. Breakfast was good however sitting are at Breakfast is small but staff fitted us in very helpful

  Boutique is beautiful

  Boutique and beautiful!Once you figure out how to get into the Boutique Residence (which requires you to download their app) you are greeted by genuinely friendly staff (everyone we met were lovely) who offer you a glass of wine. The Boutique Residence is situated a stones throw away from St Stephen’s Basilica, literally 1 minutes leisurely stroll away. The area is full of restaurants, coffee shops & trendy bars and has a real family atmosphere. We loved the area and felt very safe. It was an ideal base for our long weekend in Budapest.Our room was a double and had plenty of room, a great bathroom (the shower was superb with a rainforest shower head) adequate storage, a bureau, plenty of USB sockets by the bedside and a kettle with coffee pods. We prefer tea and bought some tea and milk for Aldi at the end of the street (very handy). The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well.The breakfast was really nice. I do prefer a cooked breakfast though. So, we had breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants. But, if you’re into your healthy options then, the Boutique Residence have you covered.I cannot think of a negative really? Perhaps they could improve the app and the checking in process a little?We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be clean, modern and a great location. We’d happily recommend the Boutique Residence.
