    Very disappointed, very old interior, everything creeks and very smelly, definitely not 4 or 3 star, if you arrive after breakfast(which wasn’t that bad) there is absolutely no facilities to have a drink; hot or cold, no vending or coffee machines,, definitely will not book this again, ,when we asked for a coffee were told No, Easyjey holidays you need to send someone to look at this awful boat hotel.     As bad a place as I have ever stayed at, it’s so awful on so many levels, to use the word ‘Grand’ in the name is scandalous. Incredible it’s allowed to take guests. Of all the bad issues at the top of the list is the permanent horrendous smell throughout the boat.     Dated hotel with great views and location.

    Great location, it’s very close to all sorts of public transport, restaurants and bars. Diagonally opposite to the beautiful Hungarian Parliament building. The staff is great! Every single one of them was so helpful!!!! We didn’t try their restaurant so we can’t comment on that. The air-conditioning unit (despite the control panel was dated) was a massive blessing!The room was clean!As our room was river facing we didn’t hear the traffic apart from the tram.But!Some negatives.The boat is right next to the Margaret bridge and all the tram lines running on it. Which can be heard in the room (we were in 220 that was located to front of the boat which is closer to the bridge).There was a distinct not very pleasant smell lingering in the corridor.The room was big enough for a family of 4 however it was on the “dated” side of the scale. Small issues were observed like:- one of the night lights was missing its on/off chain so we could use only one of them.- the ceiling looked damaged.- the bathroom door handle was wobbling so much that felt like it’d stay in our hand when we closed it behind us.- the bathroom is more like a wet-room.If one can overlook these small issues due to the brilliant location, then this hotel is highly recommended.     Superb views and great value.

    This boat / hotel has amazing views of the Parliament building and several of the bridges. This view is even better by night with the whole scene lit up and many tour boats going past. The upper decks are available to guests so you can pull up a chair and enjoy this wonderful view with a drink. Some reviews say the rooms are a bit dated and they probably are but we think it adds to its charm, and there is all you need as you wont spent much time in them anyway. The staff here are so friendly and helpful really nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is also very good, lots to chose from and plenty of it, enough to set you up for a day out. Overall this hotel offers excellent value for money in a great central location.     Lovely place to stay

    Just returned home after a 3 night stay on the Grand Jules Boat hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We upgraded to a river view room (it was only £4 each) so had a fantastic view of the parliament building from our cabin. It's ideally based next to the Margaret bridge which means all the main tourist sites are within walking distance. You do hear a bit of a rumble from the trams crossing the bridge but it's not too disturbing. There's also a great choice for breakfast to get you started for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel also has a luggage room you can use if you have a late departing flight.
