    This is a great hotel for exploring the city and sights. The staff were very friendly, particularly at check in; they offered restaurant and other recommendations and were even willing to make bookings for us. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. It wasn't far from the stop where the airport bus drops off/picks up and was well located for restaurants and bars. The hotel even had a rooftop brunch spot and a michelin star restaurant attached. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    First off the hotel if beautiful and situated in a great location! There’s a lovely atmosphere on arrival, our room wasn’t quite ready so we was able to leave our luggage whilst we went off to explore. Upon returning later, and being given our room key I must admit I was a little disappointed in seeing the room as it didn’t look anything to the standard of room category I had booked for this belated birthday celebration for my partner…A quick trip down to the desk and Rebekah (apologies if I’ve spelt her name wrong) sorted this for me no problem whatsoever and apologised for the confusion… BRILLIANT customer service. The new room we was allocated (which was the medium spiced room I had originally booked) is beautiful and very in fitting with the vibe of the hotel :) The housekeeping team also do a fantastic job and our room is always spotlessly clean upon our return!The only slight thing we found quite sad was that we couldn’t head upto the roof top bar for a pre/after dinner drink to enjoy the view!! Never mind as we are enjoying our stay non of the less and it’s only something minor :) Will be recommending to friends and family!

    Hotel Rum claims to be a 4 star hotel, but it does not appear on the official EU hotel rating site and it appears to be self rated. In reality it comes across as a 2 star.We booked a long weekend for our birthdays. Our first room had a really bad smell, as though something had died in there. They moved us to another room, which had exposed wiring (not the open wires running around the ceiling to give a brutalist effect) but a hole in the wall tile with wires exposed Dirty furnitureNo closet No hot water in the shower which we were told would be fixed the next morning when the maintenance man came in (4 star hotels have maintenance on site all the time). It wasn't, as there was no maintenance on the weekend. So we had 3 nights with a luke warm at best shower.We were given a key to an empty room two flights up at about a quarter of the size of our room to use the shower. This wasn't practical so we had to make do with the luke warm shower.There was never a decision maker on site the whole weekend and were we told that the manager would be in on Monday. The reception staff basically were winging it with false promises that were never going to be honoured. We were given a free breakfast as an apology. But even for free it was not worth it. A glass of artificial fresh orange juice, a coffee and half a muffin with an overcooked egg on top.This hotel has one lift. A four star has many lifts.We are well travelled and always stay 4 star in cities. This is not 4 star, it is a hideous hotel and is best avoided.     Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable rooms with a good location within short walk of metro etc. Staff friendly and helpful, great views from the breakfast area. Pretty quiet location for city centre. We would happily stay there again. Thoroughly recommended.
