This chic first class hotel is stunning located on the edge of the Danube. The buzzing pedestrian area Vaci with its scores of shops and other attractions is just a few steps away. Deáktér station is immediately in front of the hotel.

The hotel has 400 rooms, including 16 suites and 144 double rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by 4 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     We had a lovely stay at the Intercontinental Budapest. The hotel is in a fantastic location along the Danube River and provides easy access to the most popular tourist attractions. We were luckily upgraded to a room facing the river and absolutely loved our view of the castle lit up at night. We highly recommend staying here if you're in Budapest!

    Over our stay all staff have been amazing, very attentive, polite and friendly. They couldn't be more helpful if they tried. But I want to thank Gabor in the concierge team went above and beyond when I needed hospital assistance due to me injuring my ankle. Wheel chair option to be pushed and arranged a taxi and pick up from the hospital. Days later he spotted me and asked how I was doing. Thanks for all the help! Next time i'll be bringing my family and booking another stay here!

    We have stayed in this Hotel before and found it good . That s why we came back. In general I have a good impression of Intercontinental Hotels .The room was good albeit a bit small. The view from the window was really good as was the location. The breakfast was good . However one of the main ushers an older man, balding with grey hair , bespectacled , stooping was aggressive in his tone when asked to show another table by the window. He said you find me one which I did . The food at dinner in one of the two restaurants - the Lebanese one was mediocre especially the Goulash

    Location: excellent. Situated on the river Danube opposite the castle. Walkable to transport links.Excellent breakfast with lots of choice: various fruit juices, fruit, hot and cold dishes, selection of cheeses and cold meats, good choice of tasty rolls and bread, various breakfast cereals, choice of teas and coffees.We had dinner twice at their ARZ restaurant and the dishes were tasty.Housekeeping was good and efficient. The room was generally fine (no 752). However, the mattress could have been a little more “giving” rather than just firm.Staff: very friendly and tremendously helpful. This applies to all employees we came across.     A room with a view but fell short in style.

    Great location and the best view you are going to find. Close to everything , short walks to many of the local attractions & tram at the door. Room was comfortable enough, clean and large , but very much in need of a refurb & it looked very very tired. Paying premium prices for a 4 star hotel fell short on expectations.This hotel is the starting point for one of the large river cruise companies so has high volume of guests so is very busy.Breakfast buffet was very disorganised , had to line up for egg station with only one guy cooking the eggs the line snaked in front of the other food so slowed it right down even if you didn't want eggs you couldn't get to anything else. Variety was very limited as well. Coffee was great though ! Would we recommend , definitely yes for the location & view but it was extremely over priced for the caliber of the room and the breakfast was very basic.
