Milford Suites: 10/10 Would Stay Again

    rating24 Nov 2025

Milford Suites totally stole our hearts! 💛Located on the Buda side, the area is just *chef’s kiss* — quiet, beautiful, and super close to everything. The staff? Absolute gems. We got checked in right away, no waiting, no fuss, just smooth vibes. Our room was spotless, cozy, and honestly felt like a little home. Housekeeping came every day, and yeah, towels were changed on day three — hotel policy — but it didn’t bother us one bit because the whole stay was just that good.Breakfasts deserve their own award. They’re served on a gorgeous terrace with the loveliest atmosphere. The food was solid, and even vegetarians won’t go hungry here. Fresh croissants every morning and coffee that tastes like happiness in a cup. Huge shoutout to the reception team — super friendly, kind, and always ready to help. They made the place feel even warmer.Overall? Absolutely recommend. Milford Suites is one of those hotels you leave thinking, “Yep, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.”

    A GOOD HOTEL

    rating23 Mar 2025

I stayed here for a week combining a conference with tourism. This venue is well situated on the lower levels of Buda. You can climb the stairs to central Buda or walk or metro or bus to Pest. It was convenient to have two rooms and kitchen and washing facilities even if I did not need to use most. Good breakfast buffet.

Skip this place , much better options in Budapest !

    rating17 Jul 2024

We are staying here right now (July 2024) in the middle of a heat wave in Budapest, most days around 100 Fahrenheit. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone as there are thousands of better options. This was not our first choice and we ended up here as our first choice fell through and we needed a place. Here is why we do not recommend it:1. There’s only air conditioning in the master bedroom, so if you have children sleeping on the pullout in the main room, they will be dying of heat especially in hot weather like we are having in this moment. It’s been awful. 2. Each day we specifically put the “do not disturb sign” on the door because we do not like people going through our things but more importantly we did not want the AC shut off. We left the doors from our bedroom open to the main room (where the kids are sleeping) in the hopes that the AC would cool off their room during the day. However, each day the maids came in anyways and shut OFF the AC so we came home to the room being incredibly BAKING hot. We told them and they just said “oh sorry”…. why would they come in if we specifically have a do not disturb sign on our door??3. The bathroom permanently smells awful like a mixture of sewage and old urine. I don’t know what the issue is but it smells absolutely terrible every day all the time when you go in. It’s neauseating. 4. The shower is tiny so unless you are a very small person, you can’t move. You can barely move your arms to wash your hair.(see image) 5.Towels apparently are a premium here. Each person gets one and if you want more you have to PAY(see image)! When we checked in I asked if we could just get one extra towel to dry my hair , the answer was no!?6. If you actually plan to use the kitchen (which we didn’t) there are no utensils to be found. Just FYI. This place looks pretty in the pictures but our experience here has not been good, again especially in this heat wave. And I have NEVER in all my years of traveling been told I cannot have one extra towel. HARD PASS on this place for us.

    Loved our stay!

    rating20 Feb 2024

We loved our stay! What a lovely hotel in a beautiful city. We try to always find suites when we travel since we have kids. The Milford did not disappoint! They immediately helped us upon arrival, with parking our large van, and even taking our luggage up into our room from the garage! There is no elevator if that’s an issue, but there quick to help bags. They were all very friendly and gave lots of suggestions for food (on point!) and activities. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood, easy walk to the Buda castle and fisherman bastion, and there is an excellent playground directly across the street. Room was perfect. Clean, great kitchen, they had set up the extra beds for our kids, and had fun decor. Breakfast is in a fun glassed-in outdoor courtyard that was a wonderful atmosphere. Nice continental selection. Would recommend and return!

    3 night stay, would recommend

    rating31 Jul 2023

Our family of 4 (inc 2 teenagers) stayed on the top floor. The apartment has great decor. Rooms were very spacious with 2 v big beds, a dining table, TV and sofas in the main bedroom. Safe available in room. Bathroom had a bath with shower hose, sink and toilet but no shower curtain surrounding the bath (not an issue for us but might be for some). Separate WC also in the apartment. The staff at the apartment were brilliant. Really knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. Cold continental breakfast is available. Breakfast seating area is fairly compact. The info notice in the apartment recommends staggering timings for breakfast.Location - The apartment is in Buda and is a 2 min walk to the Fisherman Bastion area, which is a great place to view the city and take photos as the sun sets. A lot of the sights are in Pest which can be accessed by taking a short walk to the river and crossing the bridge either by walking or going 2 stops on the underground. We purchased a 72 hour travel ticket which can be used on the public transport. (Worth doing even if you like walking). Two items to consider when booking : the apartment is in a hilly area which might be an issue for anyone with mobility challenges. There is also no lift. This was not an issue for us, but might be for some. Overall - This is a great property to stay in. We had been travelling in Europe for 10 days and really enjoyed the spacious apartment.
