Location

Peacefully located at the foot of the Sas mountain, this hotel is located in a green suburb of Budapest. The city centre is around 3 km away and can be reached by making use of public transport within 30 min. The inner city offers a diversity of tourist attractions as well as shopping venues and a train station. The nearest bus stop is 100 m from the hotel and there are many more convenient transport links to be found nearby, including the M1 motorway to Vienna and the M7 that links Budapest with Lake Balaton.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 6 suites, 26 apartments, 2 single rooms and 39 double rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a car hire service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As an extra convenience, bathrooms provide cosmetic products. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can taking a refreshing dip or just relax in the pool complex, which includes indoor and outdoor areas. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers tennis. For an additional fee, guests can also choose from a gym and squash. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium and, for an additional fee, a beauty salon and massage treatments.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and picnics are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    The food in the hotel is very tasty, the breakfast is sufficient for every guest's taste, but I was a little disappointed by a counter with local Hungarian products, maybe it would "liven up" the breakfast and introduce clients to something that is truly Hungarian :) We also used the restaurant for dinner and I must say that the food was fantastic, it also matched the price and it was much lower than I expected, so I recommend everyone to go to Essence Restaurant for dinner :) I think we had enough to eat and have a snack for a normal price - I believe that in the city we would have paid much more in a restaurant. The rooms are spacious and very quiet, the only noise could be the proximity of the city traffic circle, but no noise could be heard through the windows. The wellness center is sufficient enough for relaxation, the pool and jacuzzi have water heated to a very pleasant temperature, but the room where the pool is located was a little cold. We had enough rest even though not everything worked, which happens, but I am still very satisfied with my second visit to this hotel :) PS: I highly commend the hotel management's move to remove the minibar in the room, as products can be purchased at the reception 24/7, but I would perhaps welcome a bottle of water in the apartment as a "welcome complimentary refreshment" in the future, but this is just my subjective opinion :)

    Urgently needs serious improvements in hygiene and maintenance!

    We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Rubin Wellness & Conference hotel.The moment we entered the room, it was clear that something was very wrong. While we could have accepted that the rooms are old, what was absolutely unacceptable was the level of uncleanliness and smell. The room smelled damp and musty, like old carpets that haven’t been properly cleaned in a very long time.The cleanliness was shocking. On the bed sheets we found a lot of hair, which honestly looked like pubic hair (we even took photos). There were also boogers on the sheets. The table was sticky, covered with hair (looked like from someone’s nose) and crumbs. On the floor we found leftover chips. Because of this, we didn’t even dare to enter or inspect the bathroom.We decided not to sleep there at all and left immediately. Despite not staying, due to their strict no-refund policy we still had to pay for the first night, and only after insisting were we able to get the remaining nights refunded.The only positive experience was the receptionist, who was very understanding and polite, and did his best to help us in an uncomfortable situation.Overall, this hotel urgently needs serious improvements in hygiene and maintenance. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend it.

    Far from town and taxis charge double or triple the usual rate! Huge waste of money!

    I made the mistake of booking at this hotel because I wanted a pool. I checked on "gobytaxi" before I left my country to budget the cost for taxis. I took my first taxi today and yes it was an official taxi. I was charged 3x what the fare should have been. I tolds the driver he was going the wrong way--his response, he began singing! Upon arrival, The guy took off Immediately after I paid, refusing to give a receipt so If could report him. I just tried to reserve a taxi for my evening activity and the gentleman at the desk indicated he could not make a reservation for the return from the event, nor could he order a taxi more than 15" ahead of when needed! This same gentleman had told me I couldn't go into the garden area prior to 2 PM because you needed to exit through the bar room doors! Crying in Budapest because I won't take any more tours or go into town!
