    Hotel or Upmarket Hostel??

    rating12 Jun 2026

This is a hotel but I felt it was a more upmarket hostel with private rooms. The room was clean and views of water can be seen from front hotel. Beds were okay. Pillows were lovely.Room was tiny. Suitcases were on beds to pack / unpack. Black out curtains would be helpful Bathroom I didn't have soap, shampoo, bath mat or hairdryer. Apparently you can borrow hairdryer from reception. Some reception staff were great, others just looked at you blankly and advised you can book on line. No offer to call for you which is ironic as they advertise their staff are willing to call.Lots of teenagers or school groups who are loud in halls. Breakfast was good. I felt there was enough options. Breakfast staff were the best staff. Rakel Rut Kristjánsdóttir, Marketing at Hotel Cabin, responded to this review Dear Met812,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found your room clean, enjoyed the water views, and appreciated our breakfast selection and breakfast team. We are also glad that some members of our reception staff made a positive impression during your stay.We are sorry to hear that aspects of your experience, including the room size, in-room amenities, noise levels, and consistency of service, did not meet your expectations. Budget Style Accommodation

    rating10 Jun 2026

The staff was great. The rooms are very small, but there's a nice lounge in the reception area to hang out. Breakfast didn't have a lot of variety, but was sufficient. It was good that breakfast was available very early in the morning for early departures. Small but easy rooms

    rating04 Jun 2026

We had a room in the middle row of the hotel, so there was almost no air circulation. We had to use two hand fans we brought to get somesort of airflow so we could sleep. Cannot comlain for the price we paid, but thought we'd have an outside window at the minimum. Room was very small but comfortable nontheless. Would not recommend if you are a warm sleeper! Staff during check-in and check-out were kind, but stern. Continental breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Great location with a grocery store and gas station right nearby, Rakel Rut Kristjánsdóttir, Marketing at Hotel Cabin, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location, breakfast selection, and found our team helpful during your stay.
