    This hotel is minimal. Clean and I felt safe, but that was it!I bed no sheet, 1 bath towel no wash cloth, no restaurant as stated that they have. Walls are paper thin and can hear EVERYTHING happening in the rooms and halls. No air conditioning. No open windows Wasn’t able to get picked up at airport after messaging the hotel. I was able to get a transfer to the hotel when leaving because I asked.

    Very disappointing experience.

    We were stuck in Iceland because of Icelandair, and they sent us to Hotel Keflavík. Unfortunately, that hotel transferred us to Hotel Keilir, and the experience was terrible from the moment we arrived.The receptionist, an older woman, was extremely rude and disrespectful, and the man around 30 + years old who seemed to work with her had no manners at all and looking like her son . They clearly do not know how to treat guests properly.The room was dirty, the cleaning standards were very poor, there was no shampoo in the bathroom, and the street noise was unbearable. Breakfast was also very disappointing. One older man there could barely speak English and behaved very unprofessionally.Honestly, this hotel is not suitable for staying. There are definitely much better places in Iceland than Hotel Keilir. I still do not understand why Hotel Keflavík sent us there.Note:Please avoid this hotel if you want a comfortable and respectful stay.

    Barely Adequate for a Layover

    Icelandair stuck us in this "hotel" after canceling our flight. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked and cable TV was fine, but barely adequate for a night layover. Think of a multi-story Motel 6 located in the middle of nowhere. No frills, no shampoo in bathroom; street noise was miserable. No help with baggage and no elevator. Not handicap accessible by U.S. standards. Check in was over whelmed and was out and out nasty to an elderly couple in clear distress. Breakfast was inedible. Icelandair should not be affiliated with this place to save a fewDollars for inconvenienced travelers as it reflects badly on the company.

    Handling Rude or Disrespectful Behavior

    This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The service was completely unacceptable. The front desk staff was extremely rude, unprofessional, and clearly not suited for working in hospitality. Instead of helping guests, they made the experience frustrating and unpleasant.The situation at breakfast was no better. The staff there seemed unprepared and uninterested in doing their job properly. The quality of the breakfast was extremely poor and far below what you would expect from a 3-star hotel.It was obvious that the hotel is poorly managed and understaffed. The only positive point was one young staff member who was working hard and trying to handle everything alone, working hard and managing multiple tasks efficiently.which shows how badly the place is being run.Overall, this hotel does not deserve its rating at all. I strongly advise others to avoid this place — there are far better options available.

    Excellent service, clean and good size rooms. Very well located close to Keflavik International Airport and hotel offers free shuttle to and from airport.Excellent food and very friendly staff willing to assist at any time. Higly recommended.Bjorn
