We visited Fosshotel Reykholt in September and were very pleased indeed.It was our third visit to the hotel and confirmed our view that it is a great place to stay. The location is full of Icelandic history, in addition to being very beautiful. The hotel staff were very pleasant, helpful and just great. Our room was lovely. It was on the ground floor and we could walk out into the lawn and enjoy the scenery. The restaurant was fine and the food and service left nothing to be desired.We will return another day.

Fosshotel with sauna

Provided an excllent base to explore the Snaefelljokull peninsula (where Jules Verne started his Journet to the Cemntre of the Earth). Located in a tiny village with cultural significance & a museum.Hotel takes advantage of the local hot springs & has sauna, hot tubs, and a futness room. All looked very good.

Best hotel in Iceland! The location is perfect for all you need to see in Reykholt. The hotel itself is modern, new and immaculate. The breakfast buffet is superb with a huge variety to choose from.
