    Severe Security and Maintenance Failures – Not Recommended

    I recently stayed at The Flora Grand with my family, and unfortunately, the property failed to meet basic standards of safety, hygiene, and hospitality. Based on our experience, I strongly advise looking at other options in Goa.Safety & Security Risks:Compromised Room Security: The sliding doors in our room could not be locked. This is a severe security lapse that left us feeling unsafe, and management failed to address it.Electrical/Maintenance Hazards: The in-room refrigerator was severely overheating, and we experienced active water leakage coming directly from the walls.Hygiene & Basic Amenities:Cleanliness: The rooms were poorly maintained. Both the showers and the shower curtains had visible mold.Basic Facilities: There was no hot water available during our stay, necessitating cold showers. Additionally, the TV in one room and the bed lamps were completely non-functional.Infrastructure: The property lacks covered parking; we were caught in the rain on the 17th just trying to access the building. Wi-Fi is spotty at best, and there is no 5G network coverage in the immediate area.Service Deficiencies:Food & Beverage: Room service took upwards of two hours for delivery, and food availability was arbitrarily limited without prior notice.Management Response: When these critical issues were escalated to the front desk, no corrective actions were taken. Instead of attempting to resolve the security or maintenance failures, the staff simply contacted me to ask what time we would be checking out the following day.A hotel that ignores broken locks and moldy bathrooms while actively pushing guests out the door is not one I can recommend to any traveler.
