  The location was exceptional, offering convenient access and stunning views of the east side of Ambon and the bridge.The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my visit even more enjoyable.The room was spacious, and I particularly appreciated the high-quality branded bath products provided.The pool was fantastic, and I was especially impressed by the wide variety offered at breakfast.

  Nice Hotel with an unorganize reception/frontdesk

  Overall the hotel location is perfect. It was a not-so-new hotel, with wear and tear. We were aware of the name of Santika Hotel, as in Ambon there is the word 'Premiere" attached to it, We expect at least, an organized reception. The fact that we were met with an annoyingly unfriendly bulky male receptionist who was not even serving anyone yet asking us to wait in line and pointing to those sitting on the couches with his chin. We waited patiently until we realized he didn't even call those in line. For the word "premier" we personally expect a better service.   Santika Hotel Ambon - Look for another place to stay if you can!

  Terrible Hotel. Rooms are old, the air conditioning took 6 hours to get a small room to 24C, and it is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in around the globe. Almost impossible to get a good night's sleep due to the single pane windows and the intolerable traffic noise that is 20 hours per day. Food is mediocre and finally the hotel is really good at taking payment but when funds are to be refunded they make it so difficult that you want to walk away. They are unable to refund your credit card directly and then keep adding "charges" so that effectively you dont get any of the money owed to you. But if you pay, the money is taken immediately from your card. Find another hotel if you have to stay in Ambon.   Good: Breakfast, view over the bay, and a supermarket and little shopping mall located in the same building. Decent: Dinner in the restaurant is okay, just stay away from the 'western' meals. Their pizza or (veggie) burger are not your finest cuisine. Less good: the rooms are very noisy and not very soundproof. The showers and especially the toilet was extremely disappointing. It looked like there hadn't been a proper deep clean of the toilet seat for years. It was dirty, yellow, instead of white. Very underwhelming for a four-star hotel.   This was our last stop on our trip around a number of islands in West Papua and were were very relieved to find such good accommodation.The rooms were very ice, the food very good and the overall ambience very pleasant. It looks quite strange from the outside but our experience inside was very good. Seems quite new, which is always good.
