  Not like the brochure!!!!!!

  -Photos on Agoda were misleading-room was too dangerous-grounds are not presentable-reception is a dead giveaway on the lack of experience you you get staying at 808 residenceHowever, the room allocated to me has massive potential when they do actually find the money to finish the construction of the hotel. As the location is pretty cool.Stairs were rusted and super dangerous. The place still looks like a construction site. So I actually packed my bags and left to the neighbouring hotel Zin hotel, which is excellent.

  DO NOT STAY HERE - outdated, fraudulent photos

  DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!Photos are completely outdated and incredibly misleading. Completely fraudulent representation of the current state of this property. The bright blue pool shown in all the photos has been filled in with fake, outdoor grass. Although online photos claim that construction updates will be done by November 2018, we are here in May 2019 and the place is a mess. Please see attached photos. Unfortunately, we booked through Agoda.com who had the property listed as one of their ‘preferred’ listings. Was promised a room with shower and tub (no such room exists - you can have one or the other). Room had no toiletries or soap on arrival and was not provided on request as it was not available. Bathroom has half full, used bottles of shampoo/body wash. Bathroom ceiling is open and wall into adjacent room is separated by plexiglass window - so if you wanted to you could look into neighbouring bathroom. Water hardly ran and shower was full of wads of hair.Water stains and rust all over. Faucets and shower head caked with minerals and hard water and hardly functioning. Everything is covered in dirt and stains - looks like nothing has been cleaned in the last year. Bathroom walls/dividers open into each other and walls aren’t fully closed so open onto main bedroom. Blinds have been removed in bathroom and windows have been painted white halfway up… Hardware from blinds still remains on ceiling all rusty. Dirty walls and paint chipping throughout entire room. Stains on bedding and floor.Garbage and construction debris throughout hotel grounds.Pile of Chlorine on step in pool water … Smelling very strongly and I don’t imagine it is the correct amount. Only one or two staff who left the property by 9 PM did not arrive back until nine in the morning.Staff very unhelpful and unable to refund us the several hundred dollars we spent when booking multiple nights at this location.Listing also promised a free scooter usage… They do not have a scooter!I cannot express strongly enough how horrible this hotel is! This has ruined our vacation and cost us a lot of money. Do not get scammed by misleading images online! It looks like this hotel would have been quite nice several years ago but that is no longer the case. According to the girl sitting on her phone at the front desk (who was unable to refund us) there is a new owner who won’t be taking possession until September and the former owner is no longer involved (she would not give me contact info for any of the owners). Construction was not happening and we were told they were taking a month off - I suspect that money ran out for the renovation and it was sold to a new owner and they are still trying to get some money until the new owner takes over. There are several rooms with dirt floors and wires hanging from the ceiling and the largest room is just full of mattresses. The restaurant is closed and the veranda overlooking the street is covered in junk and garbage.DO NOT BOOK HERE!

  Construction Zone & Unclean

  My husband and I checked into 808 and 5 minutes later decided to leave (which we have never before done). Half of the hotel is a construction zone (which we could have dealt with), however the room was unclean. The walls were dirty, stains on the sheets, furniture was filthy, and the bathroom was very small and unclean. We walked down the street and found a cleaner place for less than half the price. 808 is is no way worth the price.To 808's credit - the woman at the reception was extremely nice, left us check in early, and understanding that we cancelled our reservation. They also have free motorbike rentals and are close to the beach.

  Not up to scratch. Building work going on.

  Staff were nice but this hotel wasn't up to scratch unfortunately. Damp markings in our room under the a/c unit, and a bit too much bare concrete for our likely. The bathroom was a bit more humid/damp than is expected in Bali. The place is tranquil but looked nothing like the photos whilst we were there (Dec 2018), lots of construction work going on, which we were not informed of. As such, we didn't use the pool. The location is good, away from the central part of Canggu and an easy walk into the main street, although lots of good food options nearby. This place could have been a lot better. One last point is that we arranged for an airport pick up by the hotel for 500k which we paid during our stay, upon departure the hotel asked us to pay, which we obviously didn't and explained we had already paid. The confusing thing is that the amount we were asked to pay was 400k, which might suggest we were initially overcharged for the 500k. I'm not sure. It just shows that their processes aren't right and mismanagement like this doesn't fill you with confidence.

  Near the beach

  It's near the beach, only 5 minutes slow walking. They have a vegan and clean eating resto called Living Kitchen with great taste dishes. Perfect for breakfast or dinner. But hard to find the housekeeper in the villa. Can't swim at the evening because frogs will accompany.
