    Adequate Hotel, Good Location

    rating27 Oct 2025

Situated right next to Interstate 69, Hampton Inn Stafford is a comfortable hotel conveniently located to the sights and attractions of Southwest Houston. It’s a three- story hotel with a few amenities like an indoor pool, fitness center, etc. and it offers free parking.I stayed at this hotel over the weekend when there was a concert playing at Smart Financial Center in nearby Sugar Land. The check- in was good, and I like that they have microwaveable food items available for immediate purchase, which you can then prepare quickly in your room. With the rooms, I stayed in a room with a single king bed. The room wasn’t very large, but it was good enough for the two of us. There is a refrigerator and microwave oven in each room, which is nice. The heat/air was easily adjustable, and it didn’t take much effort to get the temperature just right. The room could have been cleaned better- I noticed areas in the bathroom that were not as clean as they should be, but for the most part, the rooms are adequate. One of the best features of this hotel is its location. There are several restaurants within a short walking distance, among them IHOP, Bombshells, Pappadeaaux Seafood Kitchen, Hooters, and others. And since you are right next to the freeway, it doesn’t take long to get places. Breakfast is part of the package deal, too, which is always a plus. The food is self- serve and includes sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Nothing fancy, but again, it’s included in the price of the stay, so it works for me. This Hampton Inn is a little bit outdated, and I admit that I have stayed at other Hampton locations that were better. But overall, this is an adequate hotel and it served my needs well as a place of quick refuge following a live concert.

    Do not recommend.

Blood on bed skirt. Toilet didn’t flush. I had to open the lid and mess with it to get it to flush (I have video, but trip advisor only allows photos). Housekeeping removed our shower curtain which was a hassle for morning showers. Front desk lady was very very nice and moved our room and personality replaced our shower curtain. She was the only saving grace as to why this isn’t 1-star. We will never stay here again. I was so upset by the blood, I have no idea what atrocities happened in that room but it made me feel unsafe as a mom traveling with three little girls.

    Disgusting; TERRIBLE; don’t GO HERE

    rating10 Jul 2024

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I called to make a reservation, and this place was the only thing available due to hurricane outages. I arrived to the hotel for my stay and the service was completely nasty all across the board. The hotel room was very disgusting, the sink was dirty and tub/ shower was clogged and the bed had red stains that look like blood. My family and I felt really nasty and disgusted. This is our first time in Texas and it was not appealing at all. I had my newborn baby with me in such uncomfortable and unsanitary conditions. The desk clerk was no where to be found and I spent an hour on the phone with customer service requesting a refund . I really hope Hilton get their hotels up to part and stop taking people money. This place needs to be closed down

Skip this property - safety and cleanliness below par. Get odd numbered room-can see your parked car on the side lot.

Don't stay here. Didn't feel safe, room was dirty and the front desk clerk was rude! Parking is out of sight of anything on the east side of the hotel, and after trying to find a space in the very small front lot next to a major highway, you end up walking back to the front desk thru a dark parking lot. There is NOT a side entrance so you can park and then take your luggage up, you either have to unload, then park or take the risks in the back lot or a very dark side lot. On top of that, the front desk clerk didn't have any of room type that I requested in my reservation (and I paid for) and tried to put me on the ground floor. Not a good feelings when you don't feel safe anyway. However, the elevator is such a weird space, maybe it would have been better to be there. The elevator is in a little side room that is around 4 by 4 ft. and at the front next to the check in area. If you have a room on the even side down the hall, too bad if your luggage doesn't roll!Lastly the tub was dirty, the room felt dirty and the thermostat had been ripped off the wall. Just overall not a great experience and worst than most of the other economy grade hotels in the area, and this is supposed to be a mid-grade property.I had stayed here a couple of years back and it was a good property - reliable, clean and acceptable for travel to the industrial park customers behind it. But not now, I'll drive a few miles so I can get a good night's rest.
