  Wow, this place has fallen into a total state of disrepair. Booked a room here to use until our late flight. Had friends stay here a few years ago and it was very nice with good clean rooms and well maintained. The place is now grubby, smelly and very poorly maintained and cleaned. Can only be thankful we were there for a few hours. The staff were Lovely and as usual, hotel owners or management are to blame for obviously not spending a cent on maintaining this hotel over the last few years. It's such a shame as this hotel has so much potential. Looks great from the outside but the room we had was a cockroach infested dump.-rain shower head totally falling apart with water spraying everywhere.- fan in bathroom doesn't work and mirrors are tarnished and need replacing.- walls grubby and in serious need of paint- pillows smelled like they had not been replaced for years. And saving the best until last, the room was infested with dozens of cockroaches the size of mice and they just kept coming out from every crevice and from under every piece of furniture

  5.2“Needs maintaining ”I know the Hotels former glory from 20 years ago, as a regular guest. Well I also know it’s located in Asias tropical climate and it needs near miracles to carry a place like this to time. It still has a great pool and the friendliest boy staff. The bar and restaurant is not anymore. The place is well kept up for its age but many great decorations and furniture vanished or were exchanged to lower quality units, the flamboyant Mediterranean flair of the white furniture rooms got exchanged with in some rooms brownish cheap wooded standard furniture. This said it’s a good choice very quite considering it’s central location. The prices are a bit over the top(~40%) considering the competition and status quo of the property by the time of writing. I hope this place finds a capable new owner soon, who has the means to lead it to its former glory.

  Run down and needs work

  We stayed here for the first time. Reception staff very helpful and experienced. Breakfast was fine and could order specialty coffee for additional price if you choose. The place is very run down. There was obviously a DVD player in the room at one stage, but no longer and the cords just left there. There was a light fixture missing from the dressing area that was simply removed and not replaced. The cupboards and shelves were very old and look like they were cheap items to begin with. They haven’t fared well. The bathroom fan could not be turned on and was all mouldy. The shower recess was horrible. I’ve posted pics of these faults. The swimming pool had a lot of cracked tiles on the edges making this dangerous. They really need to spend some money on this place if they want new guests to return. We go to Bali regularly but won’t be returning here.

  Great location in easy reach of beaches,shopping and a host of good eating places Excellent value, friendly staff. Needs a bit of maintenance which is just starting We will definitely be returning as will our fellow travellers

  Whilst I heard some of the hotel rooms are looking a bit tired the privately owned apartments are superb. There are 5, 2 bedroom and 2 1 bed room apartments. The ground floor is the largest. The cooked breakfast are great value at $7.50
