  My perfect Ubud haven

  It was perfect. I couldn’t have picked a better haven for my 3 week YTT in Ubud. It was quiet, clean and central. Beautiful bed, beautiful furniture and a bath. Delicious omelettes for breakfast. First class, friendly service from all the staff.   Very old but you can say it is great value

  I paid only S$68 for 4 nights. Not sure if it is always cheap or it is because I booked it at the very last minute.It is really up to you if you find this cottage either 1. It is a great value Or 2 you get what you paid for It is very old and simple but you will get - Hot water shower - Wi-Fi - Breakfast - Linen - AC - Towel - Mosquito net - Fridge  - Swimming pool - Daily cleaningI personally think it is a great deal but the followings are the cons. - Very very smelly including towels - Lots of insects in the room/bathtub  - Not 24 hours reception - Curtain also stiks with lots of stainsIf you arrive very strange time, you better inform them in advance.Breakfast is served between 0830 and 1000, which is a bit too late for me.Daily cleaning is provided although towel wasn’t changed.2 rooms each floor, hence 6 rooms in total The room on the top floor looks very nice with lots of privacy.Taxi driver from the airport couldn’t find the cottage easily as Google map shows a blue street which makes you think of a river.Google "Sayuri healing food", it is located on Jl Sukma Kesuma. You may want to mention "Sayuri  healing food" to your driver if he doesn’t know the location.You have to be on the street to get to this cottage. You can find the sign on the street, which is about 80m away from Sayuri healing. ( the same side) Then walk down the very narrow back alley. Cottage is at the back end. The sign on the road says 50m but I think it is 150m. Generally it is a very good location. Only 1km away from Ubud palace1.4 I’m away from forest monkey  but it is a long way to walk down the alley from the Main Street. Said that it is lit up at night.   Great value for money!

  This place is amazing value for money with breakfast included, a pool, WiFi and a comfy bed.Pros:• Really friendly staff • Nice breakfast made to order each morning.   Peaceful tropical paradise, just 50m off the road along a path. Central Ubud. Amazing value.

  I was here in 2019 back again now. So glad to be back. Hasn't changed a bit, except it is even more ridiculous value than ever !Super comfy, clean, roomy, close to absolutely everything, central Ubud. Super friendly Staff, rooms serviced/cleaned daily. Breakfast included in the price.What more could you possibly ask for ?For me though, apart from everything else and the ridiculous valueIt's being so close to everything central, but it's so peaceful, walking out onto your terrace, you are basically overlooking the a small slice of Jungle.'Listen to the river below'. Mad if you don't stay here.   If you come for a luxurious honeymoon or you have just taken a few weeks vacation then this place is not for you. If you are a backpacker who is on a longer trip then this place can work for you. I mean there wasn’t anything extremely bad about this place..just few things that you can kinda overlook, but also can not. Let’s start from the good! + There is always enough HOT water for your bath..some places have a really nice bathtub, but no warm water..there you will not have that problem.+ Everyone are super friendly and welcoming..they always greet you with a big smile. + Breakfast was quite nice..juice could be with less water and sugar, but it is what it is. + They give you different towels for pool. + If you forgot to pack your soap then they have a complimentary soap in the bathroom also. + Great balcony where to hangout. And now things that we didn’t enjoy that much.-I am a nature lover and usually don’t have anything against ants, but in there they are everywhere..even in your bed.-In five days no one changed our sheets or towels..we had to go and ask for the fresh towels ourselves. They clean and make your bed every day, but they use the same sheets and leave the same towels.-They give you half-used toilet paper rolls so you always end up with no toilet paper and have to go and ask for a new roll. -No privacy in the pool area as the reception is just next to it. *Ask for the room on the last floor that is on the left side..it is the most private one.
