    Room was clean and comfortable, check in was efficient late in evening. Bummer came when checking out the next morning..Did not review bill until I arrived home and was really surprised to see in the bill....$124..for the room and $51.07 for tax recovery and fees!!!Never have seen 41% tax rate!!! P Wilson, Owner at Best Western Plus Louisa, responded to this review I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't look at your bill before departing. I can assure you that . We don't charge "tax recover" or have any fees. We charge for the price of the room and the taxes of the room. If you'd like to discuss this further feel free to contact the hotel on most week-day mornings to get in touch with the manager.

    Very clean lobby and rooms! But breakfast needs a upgrade and so does the pool area! The remote control issue on the TVs need to be addressed. And for some reason they had no pool towels the 3 days I stayed!

    We will stay here again.The pool was warm, but not too warm. The pool towels were large. We requested a king size bed, bud were given two queens. It was more comfortable that than the king from last night~The hallways were clean, even though there were several construction crews (and us)

    They refused to change a date within the timeframe they had on policy. They had cancel my reservation, then rebooked instead. Resulting in 172 beings taken out of my account on the cancellation. Best western Refuses to give me my money back!

    Beware of deceptive policy

    We visited family in the area and booked one night stay on New Year's Eve. We didn't actually check in until 1:30 AM on New Year's Day. That morning I called the front desk and asked for a late check out- I was told we could stay until Noon. We left the room at 12:30 and later discovered we were charged two nights! The manager refused to remove the charge. We were not told of this "policy". They should warn guests they will be charged if they stay past Noon - they did not.The hotel was not anywhere near full (judging by the parking lot- maybe 10-20% occupied) and we returned to the hotel at 6 pm because my wife left a coat in the room and the room had not been touched by housekeeping so it wasn't like they had someone waiting for the room.Very poor customer relations. We visit there regularly- we will not be back. P Wilson, Owner at Best Western Plus Louisa, responded to this review Hi sir, This is Adam, the one you spoke with over the phone! This policy is not deceptive, you were told that the latest checkout we could do was 12PM. The reason the room wasn't cleaned is because it was marked as a stay for the house keepers because you decided to make your own rules and not leave until 12:30. When rooms are marked as stays the house keepers leave them be unless the guest requests for housekeeping! I'm not sure what you thought would happen if you didn't follow the rules. Anyway, have the day you deserve!
