    I stayed here a year ago and cannot believe it hasn’t been torn down. Filthy carpet, old ripped drapes, nasty bedding, tv from the 90’s and the whole place smells like chlorine from their indoor pool. We did not end up staying instead just checked out to go to another hotel paying twice for the stay because we couldn’t get a refund. By any stretch this place is a NO GO ZONE😩

    I cannot recommend this hotel in any way, shape or form.The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, the noise from the AC unit and nearby trains were so loud that one could hardly sleep. The breakfast was soggy powdered eggs and bad coffee. The rooms were old and dirty.They have shady business practices, using so called “third party booking” apps to milk customers with their overpriced rates before they move forward with tearing it down.If I was Best Western Corporate I’d be embarrassed that this place is authorized to carry their brand name. There are many better lodging options in Sandpoint. Steer clear of this dump.

    Ready to be torn down. Only nice thing was the view and location. Key card didn't work several places. Sliding door was broken. One layer of glass had broken and instead of replacing, they just knocked it all out. Most of weight room machines broken. Sauna broken. I have to think they are getting ready to close and tear it down. I can't imagine they are planning on staying open much longer without cleaning the place up.

    This BW has a wonderful view but that’s about it. Rooms were not very clean, beds very squishy aka worn out and the rooms were past their useful life as was the building.

    The shower is nearly painful with hard, unadjustable spray that hits the wall and goes all over the floor. Everything is drab and outdated including the 1970 sliding door. Stuck in room 137 with a view of the outside wall, next to the ice machine and laundry room. Thanks a lot. The outdoor furniture is falling apart and unsafe. The floors and walls are worn and dirty. The grass is unkempt and dying. The staff is indifferent, the vending machine broken and not working. Breakfast was ok but with lack of cleanliness and care in all areas of hotel, I worried about how safe the food would be. The dining room was drab and worn as was the whole hotel. The towels were thin and stained. The whole vibe is like a graveyard, quiet and unsettling and sad. Way to put a huge damper on my 65th birthday. I'd really like a refund or at least partial. $340 per night for this fleabag hotel is a huge rip off. And no explanation for what the $61 in fees are for. The offer to pay an extra $15 for amenities at check in is an absolute joke. At least offer those to be included with your outrageously overpriced room rates. To be denied early check-in when the place is so quiet and dead, is rude and indifferent. We feel like you just don't care about your guests and are out to make money before demolishing this dump. Just close it down already.
