  Excellent place to stay, learn to surf and make friends.

  I stayed here for 2 weeks in 2015. Great sense of community. Mostly Russian speaking but awesome place. I really enjoyed my time here, thank you. Rooms, are adequate, lounge are is brilliant, breakfast is decent. Location is great and Sri is simply amazing!

  Where to even begin... the managers who work there are Russian and we were not greeted or welcomed with a “home” feeling AT ALL . DO NOT get the big room with the outdoor bathroom. First . It’s location on the base floor and any person sitting in the chilling area you can hear everything. And not to mention you will be woken up daily from the Balinese people working there laughing and shouting to one another at 7am! Second . Our bathroom was located outside. I get your in the nature, but I think we killed at least 15 HUGE COCKROACHES! Found 2 frogs. Water is leaking from the roof so it’s always wet on the floor. photos are not what they may seem. The place is REALLY run down. There is ZERO love into that place. Everywhere we sat outside you would get itchy. I was truly disappointed with this place , workers are not friendly, no one wants to help you with really anything! As we left with our luggage , no one even said goodbye ! Was the worst hospitality I think In my 10 years of travelling I have ever had . This is the first time I’m writing a review because I was so disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING THERE EVER.

  The place itself has a lot of potential, but unfortunately the owner has abandoned the caring of it and it’s deteriorating badly. The place needs some deep cleaning, fixing and repairing and it needs to be re energised. Love has to be put in this place. The day we arrived instead of letting us in and allowing us to wait inside, she went of to show others their villa and left us waiting outside in the heat and tired after a long ride there. It took us1 hr to find the place as it’s hard to get to and ongoogle maps it’s confusing as you have to go through a construction and somebodies back area. First impression the place is ok, but if you look carefully you can see how old, dirty and mouldy it is everywhere. With positive we decided to take it as it is and see the best of it. We didn’t expect much, so it would do the job. The problem was our second night we came back to our room around 11 to a pleasant Russian party surprise. I think is important to let your guests know of any parties and especially invite them along, so they are aware. But it seemed to us as the manager was having her own private party. When we went past the least they could have said was hello or hey guys care to join us? Well none of that happened, so we left with a sour taste in our mouths and an unwelcoming feeling. We had to send messages and the way the manager replied was careless. She doesn’t seem happy doing what she does. They definitely don’t know how to run a home stay business. Smiling and being friendly doesn’t cost anything. You work with people! Definitely won’t recommend this place! They have so much internal and external work to do. We only stayed because was 55% off, but the fact they charge more usually it’s insane. We are not fancy people nor do we expect much, but being welcoming and kind makes the whole experience. Also the place is dirty! My allergies were at its worst as every corner was filled with an accumulation of dust. It was terrible. The bed was uncomfortable and made loud noises with each turn. My husband and I were itchy anywhere we went in that place. Wake up and learn how to run this type of business! Mantainance is something that comes with running this type of business and customer skills is a must! Not a good energy at all! But I’m sure for some that is good enough.

  You get what you pay for...

  We got a 50% deal and paid around us$30, first impression was spot on: good sized rooms , big toilet , very good shower ! But if you r picky with small things that could annoy you, thats not the place for you. First: really hard to find it as its secondary street and no signs at all.The pool is nice but already a bit old . Saying that, the pool man was there in our 2 nights stay! So water looks like well maintained. I believe the managers could have a bit more sense on their managers skill , why? We got a room 5 meters from the main lounge , it was a tuesday night (11pm) when we arrived from dinner and the manager had some russian friends over and decided to play loud music and "party" .After one hour we sent her a message requesting the noise to be lowered... she only answered "i understand" half an hour later ... no apologies , no invitation previously and no warning about it! The place itself is nice but really needs some attention as its beginning to fall apart ... i wouldnt come back there but for young people looking to save some money and as a surf trip could work all right! No expectations otherwise you will be disappointed !
