  We have mixed feelings about this place. The aesthetics of the cabins are lovely, a super nice idea and the relaxed vibe and close proximity to the beach was great. One member of staff was much more attentive and welcoming than others, many kind of seemed not overly bothered or interested in guests. The positioning of the cabins also weren’t great in relation to the close proximity of their ‘workers/groundwork hut’ as they light a fire each morning to burn a bunch of leaves and other stuff which absolutely stinks inside the accommodation and outside in the bathroom. Not nice, it made sitting outside on the deck unbearable. We had to go out because we couldn’t cope with the smell. As others have said, it’s also very noisy, but we could tolerate this if others things were better. There is also a significant lack of light in the cabins. Luckily we brought head torches, but trying to pack and find things in your cabin once the sun has gone down (and even during the day to be honest) can be a bit of a pain. Overall, we were glad to leave after 3 nights, we wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer.

  Geographically isolated, lots of dogs, scooter, rubbish and construction. Crazy road to get there and unless you can actually ride a scooter expect to pay a minimum of $50 AUD per day to go anywhere within a short radius. This adds up really quickly and a budget Bali holiday blows out to a $150.00 a day in the blink of an eye. We paid for two weeks up front. Do not do this. Management not helpful and not interested once money has been paid. Previous reviews said business was family run and the staff were helpful. Maybe Flowerbud has changed management as emphasis is on making money not repeat customers… TIP!There is another Flower Bud, Flower Bud 1 which, is better maintained with slightly larger menu with more options. Main course starts around $10.00 plus 15% surcharge on top for all fare. Food in restaurant not Balinese, but western. Difficult to locate any good food in this area. Really disappointing. Few, if any vegetables and token prawns. Bungalow is charming and Balinese, but stuffy, old and in need of maintenance (that is what you get if you book for two weeks and pay up front 😶😢).Thankfully pool is good and gardens are lovely.Note to self….never book for such a long time in the one place🤯😵‍💫

  Pleasant surprise off the beaten track in Bali

  We stayed two nights in a family bungalow, two adults and two kids. The accommodation was a pleasant surprise for Bali at the price point, the bungalows were built in a rustic wooden style but still had air conditioning to keep the room comfortable. The in-house restaurant was also a positive surprise, while on the quiet side with patronage the food was delicious and inexpensive compared to typical mid-range resorts.A couple of words of caution - the stairs within the bungalow for the upstairs bedroom were quite steep and would not be suitable for younger children.Finally, Balangan beach (3 min walk away) is known as a surfer's paradise (and there were plenty of surfers there), but it isn't suitable for family swimming given shallow reef.

  Little spot of paradise.

  Little spot of paradise.Had everything we wanted. Good air con, outdoor bathroom, pool and restaurant and an easy walk to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and organized pick up from the airport on arrival. Great surf beach but neet a driver if you want to go further afield which is easy to organize. There is a very well stocked supermarket 15 min walk up the road.
