    Throw in the towel

    rating21 Mar 2026

The hotel is being renovated and we were in a newer room so we really tried to extend a lot of grace but there were several issues that were really unacceptable. 1) the door was installed incorrectly so it only opens when the knob is turned up, which took us a while to figure out. Not a big deal but then 2) the shower water pressure is nonexistent. Difficult to even rinse shampoo. 3) the sink leaks everywhere which implies that the plumbing was not ready for inhabiting. And the kicker, the hotel ran out of towels. And I don’t mean for an hour. We were leaving and I asked them to bring towels to the room (because they do not clean the room) and they said they couldn’t so I asked them to set some aside for me and I’d grab them when I returned. I got back 5 hours later and asked for our towels and the front desk said they were all out. I reminded him I’d asked for them earlier and he said they ran out seconds after that. So while I’m already suspicious of that answer, that means this was a known problem they did nothing to solve in the intervening hours. I asked if an empty room had towels we could have and he said they were completely sold out… apparently without enough towels for guests! There was a sports competition nearby which is why many people were staying there so now you have athletes coming back with no clean towels to shower with. Anyway, I decided to check the pool and gym and was lucky enough to find some towels so I brought a pile to the front desk to help the guy out, no thank you for solving his problem somewhat. Really not ok that they didn’t even think of that. Anyway, I will not be staying here again and wouldn’t recommend it unless they show signs of better management.

    Horrible hotel for many reasons

    rating26 Dec 2025

Hotel is in real bad shape, nothing works and rooms don't get clean for even 5 days of a stay. The appearance is beat up! Our room (316) door is a FIRE HAZARD because it doesn't open from inside or out without using your entire body to try and open it. It takes a few attempts and takes two of us to pull on door to open from inside. To get into the room, you need to throw your shoulder into it real hard. God forbid we need to get out quickly due to fire or emergency!!!We stayed for 5 days and not once was our linens changed. We even asked the cleaning to please do the whole room because all we got were new towels. We came back and still, beds were not cleaned or made up at all.The vending machine didnt work during our whole stay. The weather became really slippery with freezing sleet and snow and a woman face planted in the lobby. The worker didnt even flinch. I went to tell him that she hurt herself and he just looked up over the front desk at her in the floor and looked at me with a blank stare. Once he heard me tell her husband to file a report, that's when he got up to put out the slippery sign. I told him I almost slipped as well and more than 1 mat needs to be put out...and nothing!FIND ANOTHER HOTEL. This one is over priced for the condition its in.I always choose Comfort Inn Suite hotels when I go on vacation, but this one by far is the worst.

Very Apprehensive of going back to Comfort Suites and inn in Pocono Mts.

    rating07 Sept 2025

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and had a good experience. This time was the complete opposite. We had a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa bed. The mattress in the sofa bad was very dirty and stained and looked like it had to be at least 20 years old. The mattress on the king size bed was horrible. There was a big divot in the middle of the bed that you could not get out of too easily.Walking on the carpet, you collect things on the bottom of your feet which told me that the carpet was not vacuumed for quite a while. The bathroom floor was sticky when you walked on it. The bathtub was quite dirty as well. However, the employees were very nice. In particular, there was one male employee that worked the afternoons and evenings that was so kind and helpful.

Fall in tub because the non slip mat slipped and I fell.

    rating11 Aug 2025

My husband and I stayed at this Comfort Inn July 31, August 1 and August 2. On August 1st the mat in the tube slipped and my husband almost fell. When I took my shower later, the mat in the tub slipped and I fell and got hurt. It was very scary. I called the front desk and reported what happened and told them I got hurt. The person at the front desk said he would pass the information to the manager. When we checked out the next day my knee was swollen and bruised. The staff on duty didn't seem to know anything about it. They took my information and said the manager would contact me. It is now 8-12-25 and I haven't herd a word from anyone. My knee is still swollen and sore.

    Overall a decent value.

    rating19 May 2025

Overall, a nice hotel stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable enough. That said, and probably par for the course for a budget hotel, there are some shortfalls. Breakfast, while adequate, was lacking in some areas. The apple juice only had a passing resemblance to the real thing. The hot egg and sausage warming trays were barely warm, potatoes were hard and stale, and other than ketchup there weren't any other condiment options (eg hot sauce). I did not try the coffee machine, they're usually not so great. While the lobby and eating area were nice and spacious including the large stone fireplace it seemed odd that the big area in front of the check-in counter was almost completely devoid of furniture. The hotel was clean but starting to show signs of wear and tear. There is no snack area other than vending machines. There is however a Wawa convenience store/gas station almost directly across the highway, though you have to take a u-turn to get to it.
