  Dont go there!!!!

  They have a hugh sign on the front of the building saying 100,000 rp per night but we went there the other night at 11pm and asked if they had 2 rooms at the special price they said yes but now they are triple the price. I speak indonesian and asked why the rooms were triple the price advertised they guy said because they can! Hence we went down the road and didnt stay there.

  Terrible bathroom, terrible management

  I arrived at around 7pm in this hotel and they could not find my name. Actually I was not worried if i could not stay, since the look was not very inviting. But the receptionist finally found my name and so i stayedThe room was just soso, but the bathroom was down right too small, smelly and dirty. And no breakfast either. Since I stayed only one night, I told myself that I only have to bear it a while. My only hope was the wifi which they said worked only in lobby. But when I used it in the morning, a sign came up on the srcreen and said something like "oops, your internet was already expired, please pay again." I told the receptionist but she said "sorry sir, but this is Sunday. We do not bother our madame on Sunday."I said that the only thing she needed to do was just pay the internet so that hotel guest like me could work. After showing some resentment the receptionist called the "madame" and then she turned to me. "The wifi is broken sir"I realize that this hotel does not care a bit about their guest.   Pondock Ayu???? A Scam or an Error??

  My husband and I booked this hotel for 3 nights and although surprised were not concerned when the a name Sanur Ayu appeared on the confirmation booking. Our lack of concern reflected that for various reasons it is not an uncommon situation. In hindsight we realise that we should have paid more attention to a name that is differed from what is listed on TA.On arrival the driver was reluctant to leave us there and we soon discovered why. Instead of a charming 5 room oasis we were faced with a delapidated concrete block right on a 4 lane ring road, with about 30 rooms. There was little to be done as it was late afternoon so we checked in and hoped for the best assuming an honest error had occurred. But very soon hope was dashed and we went on the internet to find alternative accommodation for the next 2 nights. To note is that the availability of internet was the one thing that matched expectations although it was only in the lobby. The room was tiny with a bed and 2 cafeteria style chairs. The pool was filthy with cracked and missing tiles and nowhere to sit. Later (around 10.30pm) 50 or 60 screamin g schoolchildren arrived and proceeded to party in the pool and corridors until 3am. It was a far cry from the quiet place we expected. The staff - who hardly spoke english - were obviously used to people shortening their booked stays and did not show a flicker of interest in our reason or concern over lost business. Very instructive the morning of our departure was talking to people in Sanur at the restraunt where we got breakfast and when asking about finding a driver to take us to the replacement hotel. We found, to our amazement that seemingly everybody know about the booking shuffle game. Some locals clearly find it amusing to trick foreigners and others are embarassed!! Apparently Pondock Ayu exists and is located directly behind Sanur Ayu on a quiet street. However as far as we could find "guests" cannot access one from the other. We are sure that Pondock Ayu is a great place and value for money for those who unlike us actually get to stay there.A great dissappointment. I leave it for those read this posting to decide if they want to risk ending up at Sanur Ayu or some other similar establishment instead of Pondock Ayu, irrespective of whether an error or scam is in play.Photos to be posted later.
