I really loved to stay at Kori Bali inn in Ubud: nice, clean, good value and right in the city center. The owner Wayan is great and very friendly: he helped me organise my stay in Ubud. If I go back to Ubud I will go back without doubt to Kori Bali!

    Great little spot

    rating11 Sept 2017

I booked in here for 2 nights and I was happily surprised. €14,- for two nights in a great area. The spacious room was simple but nice, temple style door with our own private balcony. Great green view. Only thing is the toilet didn't flush well and the shower didn't reach the bathtub so you had to hold it. Not the cleanest as well but such a nice homely feeling so it was fine. For this price I think you're lucky to stay in a room like this.

    Disappointing

    rating24 Jul 2017

After reading all the good reviews of this hotel we were very excited for our stay, however our experience just does not seem to match that of other guests. We have been travelling on a budget for months now and are completely fine with it being a budget hotel, but our room was just plain dirty. The bathroom smelt very bad the whole time, the bath was stained and grubby, and the drains were full of past guest's hair. Also the room was in desparate need of new bedding, which is now a light brown colour with age and mould. We decided to sleep with our hoodies over our pillows as we didn't feel the pillow cases really protected us from that mould. Lastly, the service here was bad. Judging by pictures posted by others, we don't think it was the usual people in charge. The man was hardly ever around and we were given no information about breakfast, our outside bin was never emptied even though it was clearly full by the first night. At the end of our stay, he expected us and other guests to pay the exact amount for our rooms because they didn't have any change. Not at all convinent, they should have had change prepared as they knew two lots of guests were checking out that day. Very saddened by our stay, the location is great and the architecture is beautiful but the service was not up to par.

    Great traditional homestay

    rating02 Mar 2017

The location is perfectly central but far enough away from the madding crowd to be peaceful and relaxing. The room is lovely and spacious with a cooling fan system in the evenings. You are served a delicious breakfast every morning and can eat in the sun, which begins your day well. You'll see the exquisite details around the doors and windows which give it a real authentic vibe. The hosts are fantastic and very attentive. I would recommend anyone travelling alone to stay here because of its locations, value for money and Balinese decor. Kori Bali Inn 2 - Great Breakfast, Nice place, but noisy and sketchy padlock

    rating15 Jan 2017

The homestay is owned by a sweet family with wonderful children. This was our first budget hotel and our expectations were a bit too high. The place looks quite nice as it looks like an old Balinese temple. The banana pancakes were excellent. Hot tea was available all day.As for the location, it was a 2min walk through dark backstreets from one of the main roads. There are cheap local restaurants that can be accessed on the way to the main road, that are next to a soccer field. Right when you arrive on the main street, there is a temple on the right with really nice traditional dancing that is definitely worth it.The downsides now. The door did not close properly and had plenty of place for insects to get in. The lock from outside was a padlock, and the door could easily be partly opened. The wobbly roof fan made us uncomfortable. The walls were like paper sheets and we could quite clearly listen to all the songs and lyrics from the bar across the field in front of our room, but as we read the reviews, we were already aware of this.Overall this is a nice budget homestay that is worth considering.
