    Be careful with your credit card details

    My partner and I stayed here just before Christmas 2019. We overlooked all reviews and even the glaringly obvious disrepair the hotel was in. Servicing thrice weekly Chinese tour groupS ranging from 20-40 at a time. The hotel obviously does good business out of this alone. My partner fell sick about three days into our holiday and on reflection suffered from very similar symptoms as Covid 19, however without testing we cannot confirm this. I too fell unwell. We arrived late after a flight from Sydney. Unfortunately neither me or my partner can remember Check-in but I’m pretty sure I handed a credit card over to put a hold in anyone charges go our room. Pretty standard stuff on hotel check in. Four days into our stay and several deliveries of room service we receive our ordered lunch but no drinks, the waitress went back to the bar. I received a phone saying we wouldn’t get our drinks because we didn’t put a card down. I said it’s charged to our room. They said no. I went up and handed my card over. On check out we thought a bill for $190 for several simple lunches and soft drinks was reasonable. It’s wasn’t until I received my paper statement a few months later that I noticed we have been charged twice for the same amount. I’ve written to the hotel and no response. My feeling is I won’t. This is a clerical error, and there was no way we ate $400 worth of food. I can count on both hands the meals we had. So be very careful. Do not agree for them to take a card payment ‘again’. A cheap trip a deal bargain turned into several hundred dollars more and we could’ve stayed somewhere a lot nicer. Given both myself and my partner came down with a flu, the payments were fraudulent I would not recommend this place. Still no word from a management on this matter.

    A Catch 22 Situation

    Spent 2 weeks here, before arriving I spent nights looking at reviews and was close to changing hotel as I was so worried from all the bad reviews I had seen. When we arrived it was late at night ( which doesn’t help any situation). Myself and my Partner were taken to our room 306 however the bed was rock hard and I could not have spent two weeks in that bed. We then asked to move rooms to 323 which was no problem for the staff at all! The Hotel and the rooms are nothing like the pictures and are very outdated. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t ideal however I don’t think this was because it wasn’t cleaned I think it’s because the hotel is so outdated and needs a major refitting and refresh. On the first night I went to shower and the shower wasn’t working right due to limescale on the shower head, so my partner went across the road to the supermarket and bought bleach and a stainless steel scrubber and within 5 minutes I had fixed the shower and it was like brand new. Now this only cost us approx £3 which for us isn’t a lot but still don’t feel we should have had to do this ourselves. The air con was a major issue for us as due to the current situation of COVID19 we were trying to keep best health and only use air con when needed but our air con was filled with mould and would leak if left on to long, this made me worried about becoming ill breathing in air which was going through a mouldy air con unit. I don’t want to be all doom and gloom as I’ve said the hotel needs some serious work done and I think it would be 5 star if done so. My only other negative point is the pool area... the floor boards feel like they are going to cave in when you walk on them and some are already broken/ missing, I also unfortunately never seen the pool cleaned once on my trip. This may have been done in the early hours of the morning but every time we used the pool it was always quite dirty and full of bits and pieces from the over grown plants/ trees around the pool area ( which are clearly not looked after well). However having said all this the staff were absolutely amazing and always so welcoming and kind. They would happily do anything for you and welcome you with open arms. This is not their fault and purely just outdated and refurbishment is needed ASAP. The location also is absolutely PRIME. A 5/10 minute walk to the Main Street which is full of amazing places to eat at all times of the day. Location is always a major factor for us hence why we chose to ride it out even though we wasn’t entirely happy. Overall we would say out of 10 maybe 4.5/5. Little things like us buying our own cleaning tools kind of put me off and made me think “ should I really be spending my money doing this” not that it cost a lot but it’s not the point it’s the purpose of it all. I hope this review helps anyone staying here. I was worried before I went on my trip but after realising how good the location and the staff were I kinda forgot about all the other bits and pieces that weren’t “ Perfect”

    Dirty and outdated - would not stay again.

    We stayed there a week and that was way too much time.Photos looked nothing like reality. The photos on the website were probably taken 10 years ago.The whole place needed a deep clean to be honest. - Bathroom covered in mould and was so dirty- Shower head had green fluffy mould on it and white limescale - Towels covered in stains- Aircon was ancient and despite having it on constantly at 16 degrees the room was stillwarm and stuffy and damp- Whole room felt damp and smelled so bad- Bedding felt damp and gross- Bedding had stains on it and holes- Bed sheet didn’t fit the mattress so we basically slept on the gross mattress - Surfaces were dusty- Shower flooded the bathroom after one minute and the shower floor felt slimy and grossWe basically complained about the room when we first arrived and showed the staff the disgusting dirt and they shrugged it off and showed us other rooms we could sleep in that were even worse! They also brought up the cleaning service who “fixed” it but ultimately they spent one minute spraying surfaces and then walking out. Avoid this hotel, I’m surprised we didn’t get sick. They say that “there’s renovations” being done and everything is getting sorted out but they have been saying that for 3 years so......Staff were super friendly and helpful though and the massage was good here. But that’s it...

    This accommodation is labelled as 'luxury' but is anything but that.The photos represented are from 20 years ago and do not represent the current condition of the hotel.The roof is literally falling in on guests, there is no rooftop bar, the swim up bar is deserted, the linen is stained and dirty, the paths are broken, there is no greenery hanging from verandahs as in the images, there is bold everywhere, furniture is warping and door handles drop off in your hand. The breakfast is very basic and we ate at local restaurants despite breakfast being included.The whole hotel appears as though it is about to be knocked down any day now.For the money you pay, there are so many better options in this same location.

    Wow what a surprise ... don’t use trip a deal

    We purchased a week at this dump from trip a deal.The photos (taken at least 10 years ago) looked great.And it was then. Nothing that seems too good is really that way.Our deal has free breakfast included but after 2 breakfasts we will go buy it somewhere else tomorrow. There are other reviews of this place saying how bad it is ! PLEASE BELIEVE THEM.YES the staff are lovely but that where the good stops!.If you are booking anything with trip a deal think twice. Yes they have good prices. But that is for a reason you get less than you pay for with Trip a deal.With so many great places to stay in Bali choose them instead.Our room leaked water from the ceiling when t rained (everyday)The place didn’t mention that they are doing repairs that were needed 5 years ago ATM.The villa that we stayed in was in good need of repairs, some painting had happed but the place is really run down. We couldn’t believe that they would let people stay here.We had a letter in our room welcoming us and said have breakfast in the rooftop every day, except it is not being used while we are here!There is advertising everywhere saying about nightly entertainment but it doesn’t happen. I have mentioned breakfast before that is supposed to be from 7am until 10am well the first day we went to breakfast at 7.30 but it was closed!...
