  First of all if this would be the only ”hotel” of the island, i still rather would sleep on the beach. Our bungalow was nothing like in the pictures, everything was really dirty and smelled awful. There were also a lot ants (hopefully these were ants...) everywhere in our room. There was a fan, but still the room temperature was higher than in a Finnish sauna (and we like saunas a lot). Bed was the most uncomfortable i’ve ever slept in. No matter what position we tried to sleep there were always some string poking our backs... Bed was also very creaky, you couldn’t move without the other one waking as well.Also they didn’t empty our bathroom trash bin during our three day stay there... Staff was also rude, we tried to book a transfer from there to harbour the night before we left and some assistent (maybe?) told us that she will tell the owner and she will book that. But next morning the owner didn’t know about it and didn’t really care how we will get to the harbour. And my friends leg is injured and she could barely walk... So all in all be careful in you are concidering to go there...

  Unfriendly owners

  The place overall is beautiful but the owners are very unfriendly. They did not say hello at all to us, or interact with us one bit which I found was very strange. The woman who was looking after all the guests however, was very nice but had so much to do for all of the guests all on her own. There was noisy dogs there that kept us up one night and the children were not very nice to them either. They were also noisy and screaming throughout our stay. There was also a bird/parrot in the front of their property that looked very unhappy and unkept. There was no hot water for showering and the bathroom had a awful smell coming from it. However the bed was very comfortable. I would not return to this place. I would like to say a massive thank you and well done to the Indonesian host who was at the desk everyday working very hard all on her own.

  If you’re after coffee seasoned with dishwashing detergent, inedible food, very rude staff, mediocre facilities, no running water what so ever, then this is the place for you.After 12 months of traveling Eastern Europe and South East Asia, I’ve not encountered food as confusingly heinous. After a 40+ minute wait we received our order of the following: omelette, crepes with cheese, mashed potato, ‘handmade’ dumplings, 2 Bali coffees and an iced lime juice. The omelettes temperature was seemingly refrigerated, the texture was a gelatinous putty, I’d comment on the flavour if there was any and the bread was better used to slap my friend in the face. I’ll summarise; dry rubber disks covered sparingly with yellow dandruff disguised as a crepe with cheese, lumpy grey mash potato garnished with frozen cucumber, pale pockets filled with that juicy grey mash potato was the meals ‘highlight’ due to its sprinkling of onion. Disappointed we turn to our Bali coffees only to find an effervescent glaze of detergent bubbles floating. 0/10

  Nice quiet and chill location, clean and comfortable accomodation with everything you need as a back packer. Nice social common area with comfy chairs and yum smoothie bowls. A little out of the city worth it for the quiet and anything is easily accessed by bikes you can rent :)

  Comfy beds, a lot of services provided. Helped us rent scooters, book taxis and offered tours and food at great prices. Location was brilliant and was a good place to stay for a short while to enjoy Nusa penida.
