  I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Our stay came about unexpectedly when we weren’t able to get the keys to our new home as planned, and my son needed somewhere to stay at very short notice.What really stood out was how incredibly understanding and accommodating the staff were. My son is autistic and prefers not to be disturbed, and the team respected that completely. They were kind, thoughtful, and made what could have been a stressful situation feel calm and manageable. I felt very comfortable leaving him in their care, which meant a lot.When our plans changed again the next day and we were delayed even further, the staff continued to be flexible and supportive, which we truly appreciated.The room itself was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the location is very convenient—close to the shops in Albany.All in all, a genuinely positive experience during a challenging time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and am very grateful to the team for their kindness.

  The motel was clean close to amenities, easy to find. For us it included a cooked breakfast and the staff were helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely use it again

  Allow road workers to stay & keep large trucks on site that wake everyone up at 5am everyday.

  They allow large dump trucks /road workers to stay at the motel and park large trucks outside rooms. They start these up at 5am every morning waking people up. So not a relaxing place to stay Hot water is not regulated and goes cold to scolding every few seconds. Staff advise to turn taps on fully this did not make any difference, this is dangerous especially for children. Fridge temp dial was broken so it froze the drinks in the fridge with one can exploding. Breakfast was buffet and good, staff friendly, location was good. Sofa and chairs need a good steam clean along with the carpet but grubby. Especially for over $250 a night on a long weekend.

  We just had a 4 night stay at the Dog Rock Motel and loved it. Very quiet, very clean. The staff were all friendly, helpful. Cleaning team did a great job. Will stay again!

  Good motel with large comfortable rooms

  Ot the most attractive motel externally, this place had a revamp years ago. Guestrooms are very large, far larger than most. They are simply furnished but the bed was comfortable. The shower room was bright but again, is showing signs of wear - and the shower floor tiles were very slippery. We had continental breakfast included, in the delightful and very large restaurant. We wished we’d eaten dinner here but we went to a nearby pub. Check-in was quick and reception staff welcoming. Overall, a pleasant stay.
