  Little gem in South Kuta

  We chose the Palm beach resort as it was close to airport and to the beach which was ideal for the grandkids. We booked 2 rooms with interconnecting doors, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed, they were serviced everyday. The hotel has a sparkling well maintained pool and a very nice restaurant, the gardens are beautiful and well maintained, all the staff are amazing we could not fault the place and will go back.

  Good location close to South Kuta beach, airport and Lippo Mall. This hotel is well maintained and gardens are beautiful. Rooms are older style and clean but basic. Beds are comfortable. Air con is cold. Showers are hot. Excellent, quiet place for a day, a week or a month. Staff are faultless. Owners on site. Walk to food, shops and airport. Great hotel for a quiet stay. Lots of older travellers as regulars.

  Palm Beach Resort: Palms inside and the beach just across the gate

  Quiet, lots of green shrubs, traditional Balinese furniture, a medium sized swimming pool, a spa area and the hotel is so strategically located near the Airport and walking distance to the beachside. Trees and plants attracts birds, because while eating breakfast, I could see and hear the birds chirping a few tables away.

  I stayed for a week right now. I booked it because AAdvantage had a super rate with LPs which was still 3x the regular room rate but a fantastic value for AA Miles. My four star rating is for the value received, not for the category of a western 4 star hotel.Their regular price of around 35$ is really cheap but you get what you pay for. First of all the whole complex is in dire need of renovation. Painting and tiling at least. There are no elevators so it’s a lot of stairs for this tropical climate. The A/C practically just works from the entrance door to half of the remaining room. You get water and a kettle (takes like 7 minutes to heat up 400ml of water,not kidding) but not even one sad package of instant coffee. They advised me to buy it at the supermarket. Well.Apart from this ,people ,staff of the hotel were genuinely friendly and proactive. I got an upgrade to a deluxe room which looked exactly like the superior room except for the canopied bed. And it had no bath tub.Well….Breakfast crew and reception staff really nice and helpful. Don’t take a room with a connection door as this is exactly what it says: 1 door in between the rooms. You can hear anything (eeewww) going on in the adjacent room.The other guests were mostly friendly elderly couples from Holland that either stayed there since 1582 or do just 6 months long stays.The breakfast was not very exciting but for their regular price of 400K you can’t really ask for much.The pool looks nice and cozy although I never used it.Cleaning staff was always very friendly and helpful. Doing a good and tough job.Recommended if you are after miles or on a budget. It’s around 20 minutes walking from the airport. A taxi isn’t necessary, so don’t get ripped off by the taxi mafia.The price shoukd be maximum 100.000rps or 7$. Even that is already too much.Outside is a beach restaurant and already the beach walk . Not very clean beaches unfortunately. Kutsche has the dirtiest beaches I have ever seen in Asia. Not the hotel’s fault but just good to know!The whole island is far too greedy and mass-touristy for my likes but ok. Hope this review was helpful. Greetings

  Old world Bali hotel with beautiful, well kept grounds and rooms and very kind staff.

  Old world Bali hotel close to Jerman Beach, Lippo Mall. Area is quiet and just what I need to regroup and chill. Staff are well trained, kind and professional and security is good for solo, female guests. Pool could do with a clean. Water was cloudy and uninviting on this stay. Minor issue but can affect one’s enjoyment, on holiday.Overall this hotel is my favourite hotel in Bali. Thank you to all staff and management for your kindness and providing me requested room due to my mobility issues. Much appreciated.
