    Amazing Stay and Amazing Food

    I stayed at Pesantian Villa (and Warung) in late September 2024 with family. The location is about 15-20 minutes out of the center of Ubud, close enough to the city but far enough away to feel like you're on your own getaway. The villas are truly beautiful. My room was gorgeous and extra large room with a huge deck. The design is perfect and you are enveloped by nature. There was a cute plunge pool a few steps away from my room that I truly enjoyed. The restaurant is fantastic and believe me when I say that every single thing on the menu is delicious. My only disappointment was that I wasn't able to try the fish- which had to be ordered a day earlier. I also didn't have a chance to do the cooking class- which I'll be sure to do next time I'm in town. Chef Santika is so kind and truly thought of everything to make sure you have a great stay (and meal). I will definitely be back.

    Another fabulous cooking class with Chef Santika!

    This is my 4th time doing Chef Sa Tika’s cooking school at his Pesantian villas. I have brought friends and family here many time to do his class and everyone has loved it so much! Rare for Bali classes - you all have and individual cooking station with your own knives and implements and chopping board. Magic hands come and take away the mess and provide you with the next ingredients to prepare - while chef Santika explains the flavours and ways to use your ingredients. It’s all simple and fun and Informative - and oh so so delicious! Thanks again Chef Santika! We will be back!

    Perfect place to stay in Ubud!

    This was a lovely peaceful place to stay close to everything in Ubud. Our host and his family were so helpful - they reopened the restaurant on our first night so we could have dinner, as well as offering a free shuttle service to see things in the area, such as the monkey forest and waterfalls etc. They were all so friendly, and so were their two adorable dogs!The food was delicious, so we ate there two out of the three nights we stayed. Particularly recommend the crispy duck dish. They also offer a cooking course which we did not have time to do, but given the quality of the food we ate I’m sure it would be a great experience.The room had a very comfortable bed and was very clean, spacious and stylish. We had great nights sleep here as it was so comfy and quiet.Our host went out of his way to help us, even driving us to our next destination. He also made us pancakes and French toast for breakfast even though they weren’t on the menu. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud!

Fresh produce from the market, Chef Santika explains all the ingredients in traditional cooking and what to look for when choosing vegetables Cooking on a traditional fire - you are guided through seven delicious dishes and then enjoy eating them at your leisure Accommodation is available on site, highly recommend you book a night and enjoy the surroundings set amongst the rice fields

    We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the food of the chef Santika and the nice and very clean rooms. He picked us up from the airport and gave a great cooking workshop. Nice place to stay just a bit outside of Ubud in the middle of the rice paddies
