Location

This complex lies directly on a bay and about 500 m from Candidasa. Tenganan is around 2 km away and the airport can be reached by car in around 2 hours. The historic Water Palace of Tirtagangga and Tulamben are in the immediate vicinity, as are as a selection of shopping and entertainment venues. In the complex itself guests can find many ways to discover Bali's beautiful underwater world.

Facility

A stay in an of the 48 villas/houses will leave a lasting impression. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services include a baggage storage service. A tour desk is available to assist guests with booking excursions. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a childcare service, medical assistance, a transfer service, a hairdresser, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. Travellers with bicycles can make use of the on-site bicycle storage area. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. The outdoor area features 2 pools. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Parasols and comfortable sun loungers are available on the sun terrace. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, volleyball and fishing. With canoeing, sailing, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym and yoga. The wellness area features various facilities, such as a spa, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and live music.

    Lovely experience, lovely staff

    Everyone working at the hotel was so lovely and accommodating. Every member of staff takes the time to introduce themselves and remember your name. Saba on reception helped us keep our room for an extra few hours free of charge as we had a later flight. Mudana was attentive by the pool and set us up with a nice flowery bed by the pool and couldn’t help enough with drinks and towels etc. The waiting staff were also Susila and Dawyu were so lovely and couldn’t help us enough. I had a lovely experience at the spa with Ekar, she did a fantastic welcome massage for only $5, followed by a manicure and even washed my hair for free so I didn’t have to ruin my nails getting ready.There’s a free shuttle that takes you to a beautiful sandy beach (white sand beach) and the driver kindly just waited for us until we were ready to leave.There’s so many lovely staff I would have liked to name dropped but unfortunately that’s as good as my memory gets.Overall, we’ve had a lovely experience and would like to return in the future should we ever come back to Bali.

    Puri Bagus Candidasa is a lovely bungalow hotel situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The balinese style bungalows are spacious and clean, the outdoor bathroom is fun. All staff, at reception, restaurant and management, are excellent, extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant at breakfast and dinner was absolutely wonderful, food was delicious. Definitely at the top end of all our Bali experiences. And when leaving I even got a jar of tamarind jam as a gift because I liked it so much. :)Only one caveat: Since last year there is a governmental construction project in Candidasa to build a promenade like in Sanur, so there is some construction going on on various, changing parts all over Candidasa and beach access is restricted.Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay in Candidasa very much, and Puri Bagus is doing a great job to make up for any inconvenience! We loved staying here and we are looking forward to come back.Thank you so much!     Balinese charm

    Puri Bagus is a wonderful balinese style hotel with spacious bungalow rooms and an exceptional pool.The staff especially, are lovely and attentive. We have stayed here many times, it is a special place.The government project of building an esplanade along the entire seafront of Candidasa will be transformative. There is noise from machinery atm but that is temporary. The essential charm of the hotel remains unchanged.     This is a truly beautiful property, consisting of 46 individual villas. It was low season during our stay, so I believe only 3 of the villas were occupied. Our villa was extremely comfortable, though I wish they offered a selection of pillows to make for more comfortable sleep. The aircon worked very well. The outdoor bathroom was no problem, although you may hear every sound from your neighbors' (also outdoor) bathroom. Breakfast is ala carte, but if it is included in your booking you get plenty of choices. We had lunch at the on-site restaurant on the day we arrived, but I can't say we were very impressed by the food. For a delicious meal within walking distance, I recommend Sarira Restaurant just a few minutes up the road. There are numerous restaurants and shops in Candidasa, but you will need to rent a motorbike or use a taxi or rideshare service to reach them.The staff at Puri Bagus are delightful--so friendly and helpful. My partner and I were amazed by the towel art created by the housekeeper that incorporated my partner's sunglasses (hopefully my photo of that is attached).If I return to Candidasa, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Puri Bagus again!
