I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom for three nights. Location was very convenient. A couple of minutes walk to Jaffa Street where the light rail is located. Ten minutes walk to old Jerusalem. The a/c was good and cable tv showed French open…yay. I had room facing street and on the evening of sabbath, it was very quiet. Then Sunday night there was some soccer game, maybe finals of the champions league…I dunno but it was a tad loud. I read from other reviews that there’s a club next door. It’s not a club but more like a couple of bars and one with outdoor seating. The noise wasn’t that bad and I was on the lowest floor on the side closest to bars. Room was relatively clean, though linen had a few stains. The pictures I’ve seen on this site of the property are a bit misleading. The safe in the room is non functional. Also the rainfall shower head was more like garden hose shower head. The refrigerator was noisier than the noise from the bars. The chambermaid’s kid plays soccer in the hallway during the day while she’s cleaning so that can be annoying if you need to rest during the day.

Would rather stay in a manger

I think a barnyard would have been quieter than this place. Noise from the street from partiers until about 1am. Car horns all night long. Noise from the hallway. The maids, the maid's carts, other guests, and every time one rolled a suitcase through the hall in came in crystal clear in the room. We could hear TVs, audio conversations, bed squeaks, etc. as if they were in the room with us. One could literally hear a device being plugged into the socket through the shared wall.Second issue was hotwater. Sometimes nothing, sometimes barely above room temperature, other times scalding hot for a brief second. Then was the consistency of the water pressure and hotwater. Toilet flushing in another room dropped pressure and brought about a chill. Maid's serviced the room nearly every day we were there, but there were times we ended up with no towels and had to ask at the front desk. There was someone at the desk more or less consistently in the afternoon. However, in the mornings they were almost not existent.Pro tip: linens are on the first floor, and towels are on the second. No elevator, even with 3-4 floors of rooms. Climbing the stairs got to ba chore after climbing the hills of Jerusalem.

Great location

Just a few steps away from Jaffa street, the hotel is really in a great location. The room was quiet big and comfortable (despite the carpet on the floor), clean and quiet. Suggested if you need something easy in the center of Jerusalem

Great location

This hotel is in the perfect location for walking to the old town and all the other districts in Jerusalem, including shops and restaurants. It’s not the cleanest hotel especially the bathroom and breakfast room is a bit of a construction site. But they did give us a free room upgrade to a large spacious suite

Great location, bare necessities!

Location is spectacular. Just a minute or two from Jaffa Street. The rooms are small but functional. Not all the lights worked in my room so it could be quite dark. I was also disturbed by the fact that I could not double-lock the door. The deadbolt was disabled and there was no latch lock, either. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great but toiletries missing the first day. Supplies are not really replenished unless you ask, but hotel staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. There is NO breakfast so don't pay for it. But there is a Cafe Hillel and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf just around the corner. This hotel does not have a lift/elevator, so you'll be taking the stairs. Good for exercise but difficult if you don't like doing stairs. Reception rarely has anyone at the desk. But when they do, they are extremely friendly.
