  Lux hideaway, convenient location

  A really lovely place for family, friends and or couples. Friendly staff who are keen to help. A decent breakfast and a few lux amenities (sunken tub and private pool). Theres a bit of general wear from the elements but the charm and comfort of the place make up for it. Conveniently located, one right turn away from town, one left turn away from the beach.

  Shabby but not chic

  Stayed at one of the Sandhya Villas (there are several in a complex) together with my fiancée and our baby. I would not recommend it to anyone. The pictures look great, and supposedly you have “butler service” included. The reality however is that the villas are old and poorly maintained, and look far from as nice as the pics. Peeling wallpaper, old, noisy and poorly working aircon, a water cooler that looks to be from the 80’s. The lights in the pool are not working, ice machine - not working, a complete kitchen for cooking - not available. And I can go on. In addition the villa is dirty. It seems it hasn’t been cleaned properly in a looong time. Bedsheet and towels look like they were probably white at some point in time - now they’re somewhere between grey and yellow. The butler service - non existent. The staff cleans the villa and the pool, and may help you call a taxi, that’s all. When they did the dishes they deliberately chose not to clean out baby’s bottles and spoons as they were not part of the villa equipment. Also I asked them for help with renting a baby cot and playpen. They quoted me a price almost double that of the most expensive bali baby equipment suppliers you can find with a google search. Probably were looking to make a margin for themselves. Not very butler-like... I would stay away from this place - much better available that gives value for money. I’ve seen other people giving it pretty good reviews - can only assume they have very limited experience of what staying at a really good villa in Bali is like.

  Nice, but not very clean

  We stayed here for one night (was supposed to be 3). We changed accommodation due to the loud noises from the building sites surrounding us. The staff were very nice and provided us with a full refund (which they did not have to) due to the noise. The bathrooms could do with a good clean. The provided breakfast was cold and unappetising, with only 1 of our 4 meals actually being eaten. Overall nice, but would not return

  Agree with graceaugust - dreadful.

  So we paid a premium price for this villa to stay with myself and my two daughters. Our experience was exactly as graceaugust described and her photos are completely accurate. The villa is spun a state of absolute disrepair, we booked through booking.com but conveniently were net given an option to leave a review there, so in an effort to warn others I decided to post here. We stayed for one night, and only because we couldn’t arrange to leave sooner. I’m over $1000 out of pocket but I’d rather lose that than stay here. No response whatsoever from the managing agents, unsurprisingly, but although I’m sure I’ll never see my money again, absolutely no regrets - I only wish we could have moved out sooner.
