  We stayed in a sea view room with a king size bed. Paid USD240 per night.Good:- Good example of a typical high end global chain hotel. - Spotlessly clean room- Very comfortable bed- Clean, quality bed linens- Powerful shower with lots of hot water - Great a/c- Professional, helpful staff- Good quality buffet breakfast included in our price - Comfortable and stylish rooms- Straightforward pick-up and drop-off from/to the airportBeware:- As with all higher end hotels, pricing of room, meals and beverages is pitched high - not so high that you would avoid paying, but high enough to think “ouch”OK value to get the reassurance you want from staying at a Hyatt. Recommended for a visit to Dar es Salaam.   Keeping tradition and still the best in the city

  Back after 15 years where last time I shared a room with a colleague, while this time I was upgraded into a lovely suite! It is still the amazing hotel that I remember, and considered one of the best (if the THE best in the city). I really enjoyed the full breakfast spread with the actual coconuts available, as well as the tasty omelets prepared at the station. The only complaint that I might bring up was at the lounge - during the day there was the smell of varnish that came from the renovations, but I guess that was inevitable.
