Perfect Stay – Truly 5-Star Experience!

    rating18 Apr 2026

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Napa Mermaid Hotel & Suites! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was simply perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A very special thank you to the restaurant manager – a true gentleman, highly professional, and always smiling. He really made our experience even more memorable. The hotel itself was spotless throughout, with great attention to detail in every area. Our junior suite was beautiful, spacious, and offered a stunning view that we truly enjoyed every day.I cannot recommend this hotel enough – it exceeded all our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back!

Good 4* hotel with decent spa facilities and location!

    rating20 Nov 2025

Great hotel with good spa facilities (two pools, sauna, steam room, etc.) located in a quieter part of Ayia Napa.I was initially hesitant to visit because of the area’s party reputation, but in November it was actually very calm. Off-peak season meant an older, more mature crowd and a very relaxed atmosphere. The hotel itself is spotless, with cleaners and staff visible daily. My room was a good-sized double with a powerful walk-in shower that always had hot water. Quality shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion were provided via wall-mounted dispensers. The small balcony (with sea view) had a table and two chairs - perfect for unwinding. However, I did have an issue with ants appearing on the bedside tables at night, despite having no food or drink in the room. I reported it several times; the hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move me, but they did send housekeeping repeatedly and eventually resolved it. Also worth noting: rooms above the Elia restaurant can hear music and performances until around midnight - light sleepers beware! There were also no minibar items in the in-room fridge. The hotel is popular with German guests, so much of the signage is in English and German only. The breakfast buffet is very German/European-leaning, with pickled vegetables, sausages and other German-influenced dishes alongside the usual continental and hot options. There’s an omelette station and three self-service coffee machines. Food quality was OK - although the fruit options, in particular, were flavourless and (unfortunately) I also experienced food poisoning on two of my four mornings….The outdoor pool area is lovely, though the water is understandably cold in November. There’s also a smaller shallow pool beside the outdoor bar, which I imagine is great in summer. Indoors, there’s a smaller pool, two (weak) jacuzzis and a chill-out area with loungers. The sauna and steam rooms are compact but perfectly adequate - often empty during the day since most guests preferred the sunshine outside. The small gym is usually empty too but has enough equipment for most workouts. The nearest beach is about 5 minutes away, with loungers at €2.50 for the whole day. Mini-marts, supermarkets, restaurants and bars are around 10–15 minutes’ walk, though many were closed for the off-peak season. The Elia restaurant attached to the hotel only served drinks during this period.Overall, a pleasant stay at a solid 4* hotel - ideal if your goal is rest and relaxation, as there isn’t much else going on in the area during off-peak months. Good value for money and recommended for solo travellers, friends and couples. Maria Paschali, Marketing at Napa Mermaid Hotel & Suites, responded to this review Dear GuestThank you very much for taking the time to share your review. We truly value all feedback, as it helps us ensure we are consistently delivering the best possible experience to our guests. Please allow me to address the points you mentioned, as we have carefully reviewed your comments and our internal records.First, we would like to thank you for your positive remarks regarding the cleanliness of the hotel. We take great pride in maintaining high standards throughout the property. Concerning the ants you mentioned, our records show no reports of similar issues during the period of your stay. The hotel was fully booked at the time (approximately 145 rooms / 285 guests), and no other guest reported any such problem. Additionally, we work with a professional pest-control company that services the hotel weekly, and incidents of this nature are extremely rare.Regarding your comment about the hotel being “German oriented,” we would like to clarify that we welcome guests from all nationalities. In fact, during the months of July, August, and September, the majority of our guests were from the UK. We are proud to host a wide international mix each season. The most concerning point raised was the mention of food poisoning on two occasions during breakfast. We take such comments extremely seriously. After thoroughly checking our records, we found no reports of similar cases during the same period, despite the hotel being fully occupied. Whenever a guest experiences a health concern, we strongly encourage immediate communication with our team so we can provide assistance, including arranging a medical check-up if needed. Typically, in situations involving suspected food-related illness, guests also notify their tour operator or speak directly with hotel management so that appropriate steps can be taken. With regard to the temperature, November in Cyprus usually enjoys warm weather, around 25–28°C, which is why many guests make full use of our outdoor pool. For those who prefer warmer water, we also offer an indoor heated pool located in the Spa area. You mentioned that few people were using the indoor pool, which is understandable given the pleasant weather and sunshine outdoors. Finally, we would like to note that the nearest beach is located just 100 meters from the hotel, approximately a 2–3-minute walk.Once again, thank you for your review. We always strive to offer excellent service to all our guests and we consider both positive and critical comments as opportunities to improve. We truly wish these concerns had been brought to our attention during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to assist you immediately and ensure your comfort.Kind regardsThe Management

The hotel is in a great location — close to the city center and just a short walk from the sea. The rooms and common areas are very clean. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Overall, a wonderful stay — 10/10!

Good hotel but paper thin walls.

    rating26 Oct 2025

Stayed on a b&b basis with my husband and 17 year old daughter. October 2025. Gave 4 stars due to poor sleep, noise from below and both sides poor sound proofing.Good points -Clean and comfy beds. Camp bed for 17 year old ‘ok’ but would have preferred an extra single bed.Plenty of choice for breakfast.Across the road from a nice beach with water sports.1 mile (20 min walk) into town.Supermarkets nearby.Use of spa shower/changing room on check out day (picked up 10pm).October weather 25 degrees, lovely escape from UK.Bad points -Paper thin walls = poor sleep. Not sure about a glass en-suite when sharing with a teenager.
