Location

Nestled in a secluded location, surrounded by the natural environment of beautiful rice paddies, water, coconut trees, the traditional Balinese village is home to a thousand white herons. The hotel is 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, famous for its art and cultural life, and only 60 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Facility

In addition to 3 villas/houses, guests can also choose from a selection of 19 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and air conditioning ensures just the right temperature. A balcony or terrace is among the standard features in the rooms. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Going for a swim at the pool complex, which includes indoor and outdoor areas, is a great way to relax. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including cycling/mountain biking, yoga, a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and hiking. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can dine in a non-smoking restaurant with an area for smokers. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options.

    The hotel is lovely and clean but the service is not good and they have a very negative attitude towards the clients. Food is very average but outside the hotel there is a very nice local restaurant and for half of the price!

    Pros: in the middle of nature, convenient shuttles to ubud, impressive rooms, extremely good staffCons: limited breakfast options, a bit away from UbudThe rooms are good actually. Well maintained. Overall, I might not go back here again because I might prefer to try a different resort next time. But the staff has been very good, very flexible with some of the quick needs.     This is our 5th visit to Puri Sunia Resort. Our Room was upgraded as a curtesy. Welcoming drinks were lovely and porters were keen to show their strength in taking our bags to and from reception area. Amenities are excellent and both pools kept very clean. There is a la carte breakfast a wonderful start to the day. Plenty of activities on site and off (yoga, trekking, making offerings) to keep you entertained if you want to stay in.Thank you for such a wonderful, relaxing stay! Your resort provided the privacy, serenity and seclusion that we were seeking, whilst still been close enough to access all the wonderful restaurants in Ubud central. (Complimentary shuttle six times a day much appreciated)Staff were always very friendly, accommodating and attentive. It was also a pleasure to meet Ben, the general manager who personally introduced himself to us. Ben is wonderful and it is lovely to see him at the face of the resort being so involved and friendly.I appreciated the variety of breakfast options and the complimentary afternoon tea (daily). I can highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a more authentic Balinese experience well away from the usual touristy chaos of Seminyak and Kuta.     This hotel is beautiful in so many ways!. This is my second stay here and it keeps getting better!I can not recommend this hotel enough. I have stayed in high end hotels and the service, location and ambience beats most of them hands down!. The staff are amazing always ready to help and I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel where they come and tidy your room twice a day!Well done Puri Sunia !     An Oasis of Enchantment

    We stayed here on the recommendation of two friends and couldn’t have been more impressed! It is just outside the busy little village of Ubud and provides a wonderful relaxing respite after a busy day sightseeing. It is clean, well appointed and the staff is so kind and helpful. The food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the pool lovely.
