  We had an exceptional stay at The Light Exclusive Villas and our experience exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was truly outstanding. The staff were warm, welcoming, attentive, and highly professional, always going above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.The villas themselves were absolutely beautiful — spacious, well maintained, relaxing, and designed to create a peaceful atmosphere. The cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable. The villas and surrounding areas were maintained to an exceptionally high standard, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.Breakfast each morning was another highlight of our stay. The quality and variety were excellent, with both à la carte and buffet options available, offering something for everyone. The food was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care, making breakfast something we looked forward to each day.The professionalism of the entire team stood out throughout our stay. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and commitment to excellent service created a wonderful experience from beginning to end.I would highly recommend The Light Exclusive Villas to anyone looking for beautiful accommodation, exceptional hospitality, excellent food, outstanding cleanliness, and a relaxing, memorable stay.   How every hotel should be!

  We genuinely do not know where to start when it comes to The Light Exclusive Villas & Spa! We have stayed in many hotels across the world but have *never* experienced a hotel that had such a friendly set of staff who could not have been more helpful and who always had a smile for you no matter what time of day it was. A special mention to - and I apologise if I get any names wrong here - Loges, Wayan and Rai who could not have done any more for us. No matter how tired we may have been stumbling through to breakfast, their smiles always was the best good morning you could have to start your day, but the food on offer for breakfast wasn’t exactly shabby either. Every day at breakfast something new to try in addition to the set menu to choose from. (Special mention to the Bali coffee they provide at breakfast. I had no idea Bali made coffee but I most certainly do now.) The food, full stop, provided by The Light is also something to be recommended with varied options at a really good price and all brought to you at your villa if you’re having a pool day. You know the food is good though when you seek out the chef after your meal, which me and my wife did one night!With it being our honeymoon we used the spa facilities for a couples massage and was an experience we will never forget. The two girls who attended to us were amazing. If you’re still reading by this point then the actual villas themselves are unreal with a pool, living area with fridge and kitchen appliances, big comfy bed with a mosquito net that you’ll be glad you have, and a large bathroom with a massive bath!This was our first time in Bali but will not be our last and when we return it will not be a question of where we stay!   A generally pleasant stay in Seminyak

  There are a lot of positives and a few negatives for this place.Location was generally good, 10 mins walk to Seminyak Square, plenty of convenience stores and coffee places within a short walk, and on a main-ish road meaning Grabs were never far away.Atmosphere was one of quiet peacefulness, which was nice - there were a couple of families staying but it was hardly a riotous resort type of place. Rooms were lovely and well appointed, quite spacious and the private pool was just what we needed. Cleanliness was great, staff were extremely friendly and helpful (above and beyond IMO), breakfast was decent with actually very nice Balinese drip coffee and for the price I paid (around the $100AUD a night mark) it was superb value.That said, you don't need to look too hard to see that the villas have clearly been well used. There are some scuff marks and paint patches (not that these bother me), the odd wall plug that's loose (more concerning) and a few areas of mildew (not unexpected). There are no wall plugs within easy proximity to the bed which was problematic for us. Shower drainage was a bit slow, threatening water leakage on to the main bathroom floor. The pool itself could do with a good drain and scrub, and seemed to have a leak as it needed daily water top-ups. The door to the room doesn't quite seal either when locked, so potential for bugs exists.The biggest letdown was the bed, particularly the mattress and pillows. The mattress had zero support, those springs are well and truly cactus - I could feel the ribs of the bedframe at night. Pillows were little more than lumps and gave very little support. So what could have been a very restful sleep ended up being quite uncomfortable.If management replace the mattresses and pillows, it would really lift the experience. A full renovation isn't needed, though a paintjob wouldn't go astray.Would I stay again? On the balance of probablities, yeah I would, if I happened to be back in Bali - however unlikely that is (my overall Bali experience was not pleasant, outside the scope of the Villa at least).

  My absolute favourite place of serenity

  I’ve stayed here before and loved the location and the privacy so much that every time I come to Bali I will stay here if there is a single villa available. On this occasion I booked too late so managed to get a week here of my ten days in Bali. The staff are lovely, the privacy of the room is also great. The housekeeping do a wonderful job keeping the rooms clean. The only issues I had were a barking dog toward the back end the the villas would not stop barking late at night (not the villas fault mind u), I had phone calls the first two mornings to see if I was attending breakfast which woke me up one morning and the other time I was in the shower. My issue is I don’t like calls, don’t eat breakfast and I had a do not disturb sign up! It didn’t happen again once I raised this with reception. The pool got cleaned regularly when asked as the frangipani kept dropping its leaves in the pool. The private pool and private room just gives me so much peace and sense of wellbeing. As do the lovely staff. Great hotel and highly recommended. I was alone which is my preference for travelling but these rooms are romantic for a couple and would be lovely for a family too.

  The room’s severe maintenance issues made this 8 day stay far from what we expected.

  During our eight‑day stay, we were consistently welcomed and cared for by the staff. They were always available to assist with anything we needed and never missed an opportunity to greet us warmly or chat with us about our plans and daily adventures. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start each morning, running conveniently from 7–11 a.m. One gesture that truly stood out was their flexibility with our departure. Knowing we had a late flight, they allowed us to stay three hours past the 1:00 p.m. checkout time without any extra charges or hassle. Their kindness and attentiveness made our interactions with the staff exceptional.Unfortunately, the condition of our room was a major disappointment—especially given the property’s high rating. The entryway had significant mold, or at least a black substance, around the edges. Inside the bedroom, the paint was peeling badly, with mismatched touch‑up patches that didn’t address the underlying issues. The ceiling had large water stains that appeared to have been painted over rather than repaired.The bathroom was also concerning. The concrete tile walls near the tub flaked off a powdery substance when touched. The air conditioner struggled to cool the room and frequently shut off during the night, even on the lowest setting. The mattress was old, and the wooden bed frame was extremely worn and squeaked with every movement. Whether it was the mold, the flaking walls, or something else, I experienced breathing issues every night from the first day.If I were the owner, I would be embarrassed to have guests stay in a room in this condition. I won’t list the room number because, based on what we experienced, I suspect other rooms may have similar issues.The stay had the potential to be wonderful for my spouse and me, but the unacceptable room conditions overshadowed everything else. To add to the frustration, the internet connection was extremely weak. With the router located at the front of the building, Wi‑Fi in our room and even in the patio area was consistently poor.With some investment and proper maintenance, this property could easily become a top‑tier destination. Unfortunately, as it stands, the room conditions made our experience far from what we expected.
