  You could not ASK for a better place to stay in Ubud. Beautiful accommodation, wonderful family, great internet, SUPER-centrally located. If you need ANYthing, all you have to do is tell Made (MAH-day) and he can sort it--and quickly! Ibu Made (EE-boo MAH-day), his mother, is a GIFT. She is so warm, welcoming, and wonderful. She lights up the joint. They are kind, generous, and the price is absolutely FANTASTIC. When I return to Ubud, you can bet they'll be the FIRST people I contact for a place to stay. Amazing people, outstanding experience.

  Best kept secret home stay in Ubud. Beautiful family compound with so much serenity and traditional culture and character. Loveliest family we have stayed with, and definitely the most honest, reliable and helpful for anything you need.

  Fabulous local food in Ubud

  We’ve been eating at local warung’s in Bali for 10 years and the Juna Warung on Jalan Jembawan is a new warung that’s serving great food. The woman who owns it is young and super friendly, Putu is trying really hard to get her new business established and her food is fantastic. We ate there many times on our last trip. She even bought us fresh fish at the market for a fish curry (we had to order one day before). Try Putus spring rolls, She makes them fresh when you order, they’re divine. Although the warung is tiny and only has a street view it’s fabulous to sit around and enjoy the street life the as the sun goes down.

  Still the best homestay in Ubud

  We’ve been visiting Ubud for over ten years and stayed in many places but Tungeh Inn is definitely the best homestay in our view. The hosts Ibu Made and Puk Made and their family are so lovely and they genuinely want you to feel welcome in their home. Tungeh Inn is also spotlessly clean. Puk Made cleans the whole compound every day. Breakfasts are varied and perfectly prepared, with good Bali coffee, omelettes, banana pancakes or black rice pudding. The gardens are also sensational with many flowering plants, fish ponds, birds and gorgeous Balinese architecture. Located in the very popular Jalan Jembawan, it’s really central to everything but still so quiet. We stay in Ubud to do yoga every year and it’s only minutes from both the Yoga Barn or Radiantly Alive. A recent addition to the street is Jembawan Spa which tried yesterday and must say I had one of the better massages I’ve had this year. You can also hire motorbikes from a home stay at the bottom of the street, which not many people seem to know about. We got two great bikes at good prices there. All round Tungeh Inn is perfect for short or long stays.

  I loved this place. It build in Balinese style, the owner grows a lot of beautiful plants, trees and flowers. The owner family is nice people, very helpful. Rooms are clean, service is good. You can rent motorbike here, cheap. By the way location is perfect. Very close to main Udud road. I recommend it for you
