    Do not stay here!

    rating06 May 2026

Villa Anging — Important note for my Asian friends & family: there is NO jet spray/bidet in the toilet. Also, there are dogs freely roaming inside the villa premises, so if you’re uncomfortable around dogs, this may not be the place for you.I stayed here during my final days in Bali, and unfortunately, the experience became increasingly disappointing from the moment we arrived.First, this villa is foreign-owned (French hosts), not Balinese-run. I mention this because the warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality that Bali is known for were completely absent here. When we arrived, we were left standing outside confused with no instructions on how to enter the property. We tried calling and messaging multiple times, but responses only came at their convenience. There was no sense of urgency, no proper coordination, and honestly, no care.Once we entered the villa, we discovered the shower barely functioned properly — only two weak streams of water were coming out. We raised the issue, and they claimed it had been “fixed,” yet absolutely nothing changed. When we asked whether previous guests had complained, they said “No.” Frankly, I found that hard to believe. We even requested a room change, and were told there were no available villas despite the property being nearly empty except for us and one other couple. The bedding situation was also disappointing. There were no proper blankets — only an extremely thin sheet that felt more like paper than bedding.Breakfast was another strange experience:No butterNo ketchupOnly six fixed breakfast optionsMinimal flexibilityTo make things more uncomfortable, the owners would sometimes sit right beside guests during breakfast while a camera hung directly overhead, so privacy felt nonexistent.Since there are dogs around the property, they naturally come near you while eating. One sat beside me during breakfast, and when I fed it a little food, I received an unnecessary lecture about “making the dogs fat.” Ironically, some of the dogs already appeared overweight. It felt less like concern and more like a constant need to control or comment on guests. But the worst part of this stay came afterward. On the very first night, I unexpectedly got my period and accidentally stained the bedsheet. As any reasonable adult would, I was fully prepared to pay for the laundry costs because accidents happen.Instead of simply informing me about the charge professionally, the owner approached me after breakfast and began lecturing me:“If every customer does what you did, how will this work?” “How am I supposed to clean that? I have to send it to laundry.”Every time I tried to explain myself, I was interrupted. I calmly responded: “I understand. I’ll gladly pay for the laundry. It was an accident — I got my period last night.”Her response?“Can you be more careful next time?”The next day, she handed me the laundry bill — which would have been completely fine had she done only that in the first place. What exactly was I supposed to be “careful” of? Having a period? As a woman herself, that comment was deeply disappointing and unnecessarily humiliating. Accidents happen. Guests deserve basic dignity and professionalism, especially in situations involving something as normal and natural as menstruation.Bali is famous for its hospitality, warmth, and kindness — qualities I experienced almost everywhere else on the island. Sadly, this villa was the complete opposite.

Amazing stay with beautiful views and great amenities

I stayed at Villa Anjing Nusa Dua Bali in January 2024 and had an amazing time. The villa is located in a quiet area with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The villa itself is spacious and well-appointed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a enjoyable stay. Perfect stay in a beautiful villa with amazing staff

    rating12 Mar 2024

My family and I stayed at Villa Anjing for a week in February and had an absolutely wonderful time. The villa is located in a quiet area, but is still close to all the major attractions. The villa itself is spacious and beautifully decorated, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a great place to relax and cool off, and the gardens were stunning. The staff at Villa Anjing were the icing on the cake. They were all so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They even arranged for a car and driver to take us to the airport at the end of our stay.We would definitely recommend Villa Anjing to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation in Bali.
