    Absolutely amazing!

    rating21 Mar 2026

Villa Beji Indah has become a very special place in my travel plans. I have been back a few times and will keep returning. From the incredible jungle setting and its sounds, stunning pool, beautiful Balinese decor and the most gorgeous staff, it’s hard to beat. I cannot rave enough about it. The village of Nyuh Kuning has enough eateries, high end and warungs, to keep it interesting for a few days at least. And I love that one can walk into downtown Ubud via a path around the perimeter of the Monkey Forest… it only takes 15-20mins or so. I would love to keep this place a secret so that it’s always got room for me, but they deserve their 10 rooms and suites to be occupied all year round and it’s a place that really has to be experienced! I cannot wait to return!

    An Authentic Hidden Gem

    rating16 Feb 2026

Villa Beji Indah is one of those places that just feels special, equal parts charming boutique stay, peaceful jungle escape, and perfectly located home base for exploring Ubud.First, the people. The staff here are genuinely some of the kindest, most helpful people we’ve ever met. They don’t just do their jobs well, they consistently go out of their way to accommodate you, and they do it with warmth, humor, and real personality. You can tell they care deeply about the hotel and about the guests who stay here, and that sincerity shows up in a hundred little moments throughout your stay. The location is also ideal. It’s in a part of Ubud that feels local and walkable, with adorable restaurants and small shops nearby, and it’s noticeably less touristy and quieter than the center. At the same time, you’re still close enough to get into “main Ubud” easily. There’s a walking path that takes you straight into town (about a 30-minute walk) for temples, shops, and restaurants, but then you get to return to a more secluded, calm area with hardly any tourists around. The setting itself is exactly what you want when you imagine Ubud. The property is far enough into the jungle that you really feel immersed in it, but it’s still effortless to get out and explore. The Monkey Forest is about a 15-minute walk away, but the monkeys don’t come this far south, so it stays peaceful. And down below there’s a stream, so you’re constantly hearing the sound of rushing water, it’s incredibly relaxing. We originally found Villa Beji Indah through an Instagram ad (yes, a little cliché), and came to Bali planning to explore venues for our wedding, Villa Beji it stood out immediately. We toured a dozen places while we were there, and Villa Beji was the clear winner for charm, warmth, and overall feel.We stayed in two rooms, Jepun and Lotus, and both were fantastic and completely unique. One thing we loved is that the villas weren’t built as a modern, industrial hotel. Many of the spaces were originally homes that were thoughtfully converted, and that decision preserves so much character. It makes the whole place feel authentic and full of soul rather than cookie-cutter.There’s a deep sense of culture here, not as a performance, but as something lived and genuine. Villa Beji Indah has an amazing heart. We truly love this place and the people who run it, and we can’t wait to come back.

    Amazing Ubud Experience

    rating23 Dec 2023

Very clean, beautifully designed, loved it. Very friendly and helpful and available staff, even went out of their way when one of us was bitten by a dog in the city, including getting us medicine. They helped with bike rental and can help with scooter rental too, tho we did that on our own. Food was great, pool is amazing, long enough for serious lap swimmers. We stayed in three different villas and loved them all, each private, surrounded by jungle and animals, all dry when it was raining, some have better internet than others. The location is perfect, very close to downtown Ubud and monkey forest area, but enough out of the way to avoid the traffic bustle. There's a yoga shala, lots of grass areas, massage area down by the river with solid masseuses. We were extremely happy, but do be aware that you're in dense jungle, so there are lots of lizards and frogs and birds and the ceilings are open air in many areas, so the jungle orchestra can be loud. It also was often damp when we were there given the rains, but that's true of everywhere in the area. Recommend to anyone looking for the Ubud experience and we will definitely be back! THANK YOU!

    Enchanting Jungle Escape: 10/10 Stay

    rating13 Oct 2023

I had a warm welcome at the hotel with a cold washcloth and an icy Jamu drink. The staff were kind and attentive, all remembering my name. I stayed in the visually stunning "Bima" jungle treehouse, a two-story, spacious retreat with a superbly comfortable bed and open-air bathroom (positioned in a way so nobody can see you.) Body wash and shampoo supplied, BYO conditioner if you need. The hot water in the shower is very quick to kick in. Air conditioner is available directly above the bed which is really effective. They took care of mosquitoes with nets, curtains, and repellents - I didn’t see one in my entire 4 nights. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent with various options (including vegetarian packages) and very well priced. Soft drinks, beer and Jamu in minibar ranging from $2AUD to $3.50AUD. The grounds are vast, providing a sense of exclusivity, and I enjoyed the pool daily. The pool gets direct sunlight at times which means it is the perfect temperature always. If you look up you can see squirrels chasing each other in the vines and trees. Loads of lounger beds and spots to sit. There are spa, yoga, and cooking classes available. It's a 30-minute walk to Ubud CBD or a $10 taxi ride. A magical stay - I'll definitely return. 10/10, you have to see it to believe it. Book it now!

Wonderful holiday venue for a relaxed and totally enjoyable time. Brilliant staff! Great quiet location.

Just spent a wonderful week at this fantastic Villa. Brilliant location amongst lush tropical forest. The staff are brilliant, helpful and generous to a fault. Nothing was too much trouble. The main pool is great and breakfasts every morning (down by the pool) we’re delicious. We had a special birthday dinner feast cooked by the staff and it was the best. Can’t recommend this Villa enough. All the restaurants nearby are also great. Especially Mother, Black Sheep and Sage. Go relax enjoy!
