    Budget place in Fairs time

    rating11 Dec 2019

We stayed there on business trips during high Fair Season in May 2019; the price is reasonable and the same for the standard. My Friends had problems with overbooking, but this was solved finally. Be prepared for a small parking and being placed in the middle of heavy traffic - not much to see around. There is a good restaurant 10 minutes walk over the bridge. Rooms were fair for 1-2 nights, breakfast really sufficient.All-in-all, fair place to stay in busy exhibition time in Frankfurt.

Simple hotel with frindly and helpful staff at the edge of Frankfurt

    rating11 Oct 2017

The hotel is located in Rödelheim close to the highway intersection A5/A66 in the north west of Frankfurts city area. It is best to reach by car or taxi. It is in fact a twin hotel with the Hotel Eschborner Hof, as they share the reception and breakfast room. It is certainly not the prettiest area of Frankfurt and there is also not much to do (unlike you go for a walk inside the garden center next door), but it did not feel unsafe for German city standards. The room was of simple style, good size, clean and tidy. The bed was fine, too. The falt TV had plenty of channels. The bathroom had all it needs to have (and it was very clean!). Wi-Fi is free of charge, stable and quite fast. As two highways as well as some train lines are close by one might better use ear plugs though, as it can be noisy. The breakfast (served in the basement breakfast room; clean, well organized) was of continental style and pretty good. The selection included fresh bread rolls, cooked and scrambled eggs and a variety of cheese, hams, sausages, coffee, tea and juices. All it needs to get started for the day. Connected to the hotel is a pizza restaurant in the back yard, which has open until 22:00. The place is bright, tidy, clean and offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The pizza is good. All it needs after a long travel or working day. I would think it is good for business trips, for 1-3 nights. At least during exhibition times it is a good place to stay, as it offers rooms at reasonable prices – unlike all the hotels downtown. I don't know about the typical clientele, but during the exhibition time I observed only pleasant people.

Friendly, good value for money, but can be noisy.

I ended up at Roedelheimer Hof on a business trip, because another booking went wrong. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the rooms are not too small , they're clean and the beds are good. In this price range, don't expect too much luxury or too modern facilities like a flat screen tv. However, unlike many other places in Frankfurt, the Wifi worked like a charm, thumbs up.The downside of this place are, really, the thin walls. If someone in the room next to you has his/her phone on vibrate, you'll hear it in your room. Also noticed that, probably due to the low price, the place attracts groups of workers with little concern about how loud they are.Good for a night or two or three, but not more.

You get what you pay for

At Euro 65...I should have known...The fifteen minute walk from Rodelheim train station is actually closer to 25, and at times it is hard to find a path, so take a taxi. The Gasthaus, for Hotel implies that which it is not, is situated in a small close just after a large garden centre. It looks as this it is side by side with another hotel, though in fact they are one with slightly misleading signs.Enter the hotel, go downstairs to the small reception and television room. Several guests sitting sipping beer from bottles watching sport. On the other side of the basement is a room in which breakfast is served, but I didn't get that far. Then back upstairs, outside, along to the next building and inside to find your....room? The single bed was so narrow my arms hung off the side, and so short that my feet (only 6 feet distant from my head) hung off the end. The door was flimsy, the room basic at best. Having seen those in the tv room, those hanging around outside the gasthaus smoking in the cold night air... I left. No cabs, no habitation...I walked another 25 minutes, through graffiti covered underpasses, no street lights, to the edge of Eschborn....where I found a hotel.Perhaps fine for backpackers, but not for me
