  A hidden gem (that is a little out of the way)

  My wife booked our family (2 teenagers) for a week here. Just one thing...It is a little 'out of the way' from the main 'Seminyak Square area. This will either be considered a 'blessing or a curse' as you will need either to walk it in or catch a taxi / gojek if that is where you want to spend your time. If you are looking to just unwind and relax, this is appears to be a little hidden and off the beaten track. There are some very nice cafe's and eateries in and around the area. We were a short 2 minute walk to the beach. This was where you could access the other bars which gave spectacular evening viewing to have. drink and a nibble and watch as the sun went down.The villa itself had 3 air conditioned rooms all kitted out with either queen or king sized beds and their own bathrooms. Our family made the most of the pool which was big hit. The Villa itself was well managed by the staff. Special shout out must go to Boo Agun. She (and the rest of the staff) went out of their way to make sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable, making sure we had a beautiful breakfast and that all of the rooms were cleaned daily. It was

  ******DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!*****I will let the photo speak for themselves. And then I’m adding the rudeness of the manager not the lady. And I’m also adding the fact that they try to give us a room with mold and no air conditioning! The furniture was falling apart, stains on the wall the bathrooms smell disgusting. One of the rooms even had the TV taken down and just the bracket on the wall! It was a completely unacceptable. Place to stay. It is not five stars like they try to tell you and whoever did those pictures Was a master! It does not look like this. The quality is so bad! Just look at how you enter the location! Do not stay here. Do not stay here. Do not stay here! I don’t know who wrote the other reviews, but they are lying or they are friends! And horrible customer service!

  Beautiful villa with a lovely lady, Agun, who is there to provide you daily with home cooked breakfast. Beds are comfortable and the villa is clean. Could have a little renovation done but only for the kitchen area and downstairs bathroom, otherwise great place to stay and convenient to beach and center

  Just returned after a stay here with my daughter,grandson and a frIend.This was not our first choice. Booked another villa months ago,but at short notice was forced to accept a change as our villa had been sold.First impressions were ok. No complaints against the staff they were great, but the villa needs work. Some fans don’t go, gas ring is broken, decking boards around pool are rotten and collapsing , sun lounge is broken, shower over the bath doesn’t work. Bath is far too large to fill and not always convenient. We were told, it couldn’t be fixed as villa was fully booked!!!!Sorry maintenance is mandatory. They advertise 24 hour security......they packed up at around 7.00 pm?. Not good enough. Don’t think I would book again, plenty more that are just as conveniently situated and better maintained.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Sirena. Booked through Air BnB. Discounted price for 2 nights in between other peoples bookings, although there was a cleaning and service charge on top. Booking process was wholly online and I was surprised that the villa manager wanted to charge extra “cleaning charge” for my partner to stay too ( I mistakenly did not state 2 people in booking process). However I disputed this and we were not charged extra. Upstairs there there is a balcony area and adjoining 2 bedrooms with king beds, televisions, excellent A/C and personal ensuites. We got to choose which bedroom we wanted, and they locked off the other. One ensuite has a bath tub and shower, the other has big double shower. We chose the double shower, with rain shower head and regular shower head. Double basins too. Downstairs area consisted of open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area and semi divided tv room, overlooking the triangle shaped pool and deck. Off of this area there is another open bathroom with outdoor shower. The pool area was lovely with beautiful plants around the pool deck, and another outdoor shower hidden next to the pool. Pool floor and walls were textured with rough sandstone, so care must be taken not to scratch your feet. Pool lights also added to the ambience. The Villa manager arranged our transport at an extra cost, from the airport. We had trouble finding our driver ( he was apparently stuck in a traffic jam), but we eventually found him and commenced our drive to the villa. The van did smell like cigarettes though. We ordered our breakfast cooked each morning at (US $7 day each)and this was prepared by the lovely Agung and Gusman. The breakfast was amazing. Cleanliness and service was fantastic. Our only concerns-although minimal, were *some uneven pool decking.*private pool area had houses overlooking it -although mostly hidden by tall bamboo foliage.*Old (?) construction site over the fence needs demolishing, its an eyesore*Driver was not at airport in time (as stated above), and car smelt bad. * Security staff were asked to specifically order a Blue Bird taxi for us one evening, and a non-Blue Bird - “no meter” taxi arrived and overcharged us for a small trip at night time. * floating stair case with no hand or side railing could pose a danger.
