  Great place to stay right by the surf!

  Very friendly staff, awesome place to stay right by a great surf break. I was first into the water every morning that there were good waves (almost every morning). They make nice food here too, and can help arrange scooter rentals etc.

  This place, located right on the beach of Balangan, offers clean(ish), spacious, basic rooms (ours with fan, cold shower) for a good price. Very friendly staff, also serving excellent dishes, incl fresh fish prepared on the barbecue!The beach itself is great for advanced surfing or just for relaxing on the sandy quiet beach. However if you’re a beginner or looking for a nice place to swim, other places like Jimbaran might suit you better

  Amazing Location with simple pleasures

  Balangan Beach is a beautiful beach that is a relatively quiet location with great surf and laid back vibes. The road down to the beach is unsealed and a little rough but easy enough. There are a series of surf schools, eateries and a couple of family run places to stay. Jimmy’s is a short walk along the beach from the end of the road. This is not a resort and aimed at the no-frills, relaxed and easy going traveller. We stayed 3 nights in the budget room and happy as. Budget Accommodation is a series of private rooms under a large thatched roof located upstairs with an large open common space metres from the ocean. The room was very simple with a fan, mosquito net and a well used mattress. Lockable and felt safe. Air conditioned rooms are also available.There are several options where to eat and drink beachfront besides Jimmy’s. Close by, The Point ‘hotel’ offers a greater variety of food and real coffee. Service is friendly with typical relaxed Balinese style. Great place to disappear for days at a time with no need to leave.

  So you want beach front...

  Pros: nice restaurant with good food right on the beach. Room was clean and AC works well.Cons: no views at all from the rooms. No hot water. Read, it’s not broken- they just do not have hot water!!! 400,000. Rp a night and you have to take a cold shower!! Also, No lock on the door if you want to lock yourself in at night. Dodgy to say the least. Avoid this place unless all you care about is being right at Balangan beach
